starting my MT journey recently (absolutely adore the Haven album) and I gotta say this is my fave version of Stutter it sounds so... pretty? yeah, pretty. I like they way they all say stutter one after each other. the live harmonizing is so nice to listen to. Very underrated band.

They are one of the most genuine-sounding, purely-talented bands in Canada and probably North America. Few bands like them have such good harmony with all 4 members singing and musically skilled. Not everyone uses auto tune, though sometimes it can seem that way. Learn to recognize true talent.

I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say josh was grabbing his shirt/jacket because he didn't know what to do with his hands bc he didn't have a guitar (alex from ATL does it too) And yes, almost ALL artists use some kind of voice editing when producing a record. There is nothing wrong with that, and when there is real talent behind it, like these guys have, there's no need to obsess over the pitch differences and all that nonsense. Also: the backing harmonies are there on the backing track because the band does not physically have enough people to create them live. A good percentage of artists use a backing track nowadays and IMHO it just sounds shitty without one. And one last one: to the people/person calling josh fat, I really want you to learn your shit or be faced with the wrath of teenage girls. That is all :) have a nice day :)

I'm not sure about the hands thing, most Lead singers who dont play, do something with their hands and this dude is just feeling the music, I personally get the same feeling when i listen to this album. I just dont know what to do with myself while listening. Maybe I'm a weirdo.

I just discovered this band a few months ago, they are very very good. I just heard this song today, and I'm addicted to her, it's amazing. They don't use auto-tune, Josh has an incredibly large vocal range spanning from D3 to B♭5. He has a falsetto voice and has had vocal training from his mother (a professional vocal coach and soloist in the canadian national quire) and other teachers. Both Josh and Matt (the guitarist) were in the same quire in school. It's not autotune it's talent. All of the other band members can sing very well, its why they work together, so they can harmonise. Please research before you comment.

They also have pre-records play in tandem with the track because the harmonies far exceed traditional SATB harmonies. Since there are only four of them, there are prerecords that play the rest of the harmonies, and those are autotuned. So you're both right.

Josh spent years in vocal training with both his professional vocal coach mother & various other teachers. Him and fellow band member Matt Webb were in a choir together in their teen years. Many of his songs are about his battle with his past heroin addiction, which he went to rehabilitation for. He is now many years sober. Other songs are about his struggle against bulimia. So yea I've got to admit, you're right..they're obviously making music for kids. :) Sorry these people are bugging you!

This song has very little to do with a speech impediment. Asking someone if you stuttered when talking to them is a saying used when you think someone is deliberately ignoring you. This song is about someone ignoring or just not paying attention to what you say. It is based off a saying, not a speech impediment. Please listen to the actual lyrics before creating a judgment on a song.

I find it funny that so many people are claiming that they use autotune when it's clear that he sings out of tune a few times. And if you're talking about in the studio, I asked Josh on reddit if they used pitch correction on the album, and he said that he hates autotune cause it destroys the tone of his voice on a recording. If you knew ANYTHING about what bands do in the studio and for live performances, not every effect or backing track is autotuned. Sorry for ranting.

all bands use autotune, to some extent, while they're live. it was created in the 90s to help artists in case they went off key while they were performing. even though it was eventually used for a lot of shitty pop, it doesnt mean autotune is a bad thing, and every artist uses it. whether you can hear it or not, its there. unless they're a pop artist who uses autotune clearly in their songs, you will never hear autotune live. but it is there. so stop arguing.

Josh says he doesnt approve of autotune.. the rest of the group is pretty clearly adjusted.. if not autotuned, they went back and just completely redid the harmonies, but seeing them actually live makes me think even then they wouldnt be able to make it that sharp
