I remember the first time I heard Shaki. And was fortunate enough to see them live in the late 90’s. It changed my idea of music completely and took me to crazy levels of being blown away in such a dynamic way. Zakir has gone on to play with so many gifted musicians and when I heard him with Shawn Lane, as a young guitar player it hit that level again for me. As a 37 year student student of the guitar, I started picking up the mandolin almost a decade ago. You go on another journey seeking out the best players. Hearing Chris for the first time put me in that place of just having my mind blown once again. The treat of being able to see the levels of musically being reached between these legends that shared that stage is such a high mark. Most people have no idea things like this exist. If everyone had the ability to appreciate musical exploration like this the world be better off . No doubt! Epic jam

This is what makes live from here stand world's apart from the old PHC. Not that I did not appreciate the old show, but I was not drawn to listen every week because it was predictable. This was one of the most magic moments of the night, but Gaby's presentation of The Jessca Hoop song was so lovely. Please post it. Also very fitting signing off with Jerry!

Do explore more indian instruments, they are very tough to master and some take 10 years to get through beginners phase
