Sarah Jarosz - one of the most gifted young women in contemporary music! A worthy successor of Joni Mitchell, but in her very unique own style.

This is absolutely spectacular; that last crescendoing 30-45 seconds in particular was so powerful it brought tears streaming down my face. Either of these two alone is a gem (and I really do think Chris Thile might be among the top five musical talents alive), but together they are something genuinely rare. It seems effortless, the way they harmonize and play off of one another.

Chris is like that with everybody. Such incredible mastery. If fame were based on talent, there would be no one in the world who would not know the name Chris Thile.

Actually it's an octave mandolin!

In some circles, mandocello, octave, and mandola are gray and fuzzy terms. I think Sarah calls hers an octave, so I go with that.
