Brentford were beaten 3-0 by Liverpool at Anfield, as Mohamed Salah’s brace was added to by a second-half strike from Diogo Jota.
Despite carving out plenty of chances of their own, the Bees were unable to keep out Salah’s close-range finish and then a back-post header either side of half-time.
Jota then scoring a curling effort of his own from just outside the penalty area, as the home side picked up all three points and consigned Brentford to a first defeat in four Premier League matches.

Nunez indsustrious as always, while Jota is underappreciated but effective.

Have you ever noticed that Nunez play well when Jota is on the pitch ??? There that chemistry between the 2 (not in terms of scoring goals but playing good football)

Jota sometimes too individualistic, the good think from him, also defending and his finishing better than Nunez

Unfortunately, it was not to be for the Bees up at Anfield. Despite the defeat they kept playing right to the end and certainly had some good chances which, on another day, they might have taken. Just think that if Bryan had scored with that one-on-one situation it may well have been different. I listened to the Bees Homepage commentary and, by all accounts, they played well and created chances throughout the game. That is the good thing that they are now creating more chances than earlier in the season. The only thing that they have to be is more clinical and take them when they get them. Yes, we lost up at Liverpool where they currently have a 100% home record in the Premier League and we will definitely not be the only team to lose there this season, but we never gave up and that is important and shows our character. Let us come back stronger from this game and hopefully do the business against Arsenal on the resumption of the Premier League. COYB!!!🐝🐝🐝

Though he has not scored Nunes has done a perfect match.Thanks to his passes Salah and Jota have scored.If the Reds show this fighting spirit against any team including M. City it will very likely for them to win.However the defence sector appears frail.Van Djij is not that good.If only a young and swift defender like Quansah can replace Matip it will be better.MoreoverThe Reds should not provide spacing to the Citizens otherwise it will be a complete disater.
