Waterfront is stunning. Breathtaking in fact The beaches up the Mersey Estuary and bay, in Crosby, Formby etc are quite something. It really does have everything and Manchester Chester and beautiful North Wales are within very easy reach

Is there a limitation to how tall a skyscraper had to be in Liverpool? If not, I would love to see some skyscrapers to rival other economic power players like London, Manchester, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, New York,Toronto and Singapore!!!

Liverpool has been restricted badly when it comes to tall buildings. Heritage issues have been used to water down many ambitious developments in the past and continues til this day. Understandable in some cases but heritage issues have held the city back for many years. Some big developments in the pipeline though. The stalled Infinity Waters will hopefully restart again soon. Cracking triple tower development of 39,33,27 floors as well as Patagonia Place which is 31 floors. The tallest planned as far as I know is Ovatus 2 which is a 50 floor tower as well as Liverpool Waters which could hopefully create a really good cluster of talls on Central Docks Close to Everton's new stadium. The city has suffered from very poor planning decisions and often complaints from a small group of unambitious people who suspiciously always seem to get their way as well as developers who at times just try to drive up land prices and sell it on. It's a crying shame really. The city has massive potential. So many areas in the city that is ripe for talls and the sales seems to be strong in most. The city leaders need a serious change of attitude in planning as Liverpool is lagging way behind other cities in the UK. Sorry for the long rant. Something I've always been passionate about.
