You man are disingenuous to mention systems,saliba got young player of the year in France and also in his first season at Arsenal we played a complete different system,and he was just a good,with zinchenko in the back line and us playing a extremely high line as we still do,saliba is asked to defend 1on 1 all the time. The fact he even thinks Konate is better than saliba tells you what u need to know lol. Vvd is the best CB in prem history imo along with Terry,but to say for the past two seasons saliba hasn’t been up there with him is just blatant lying. Saliba being terrible in the air is a farce aswell,literally has the best aerial success rate from aerial balls completed this season.

Gents...I'm LFC and agree Virg is still the best in the League, & one of the 3 best worldwide. But it's clear that Saliba is a gifted player. For me he's like Virg when he was at Celtic/Southampton...not quite yet reached his full powers but you can see he's got IT. Dias is good but something uninspiring there, Akanji is a technician, as is Bastoni. In the world there's others like Rudiger who's a good seasoned CB, despite his antics. There's more to the art of defending.. where u play using your physical talents and your brain. Gomez...DAMN he has disappointed me sooo much bcz I had so much time for him since day 1 but his mentality has been less than world class. He moves like he's a puppy still, not really manned up to lead other men. (eff the injuries and all)
