Proud Liverpool fan since 1979. The reason why this team in the 80s and the players are still remembered and valued today is that they did not only play for money, they wanted to win for themselves and the fans and entertain us in the process.

Ian Rush, kenny Daglish, Souness, Robbie Fowler, Barnes, Stan Collymore, Macmanamon, Beardsley, patrick berger, and steven gerrad were all blessed births for Liverpool, i was born in 1983 grew up supporting Tottenham and Man Utd, but when i see the clips of the history of Liverpool makes me feel like a young boy wanting to wear liverpool jersey n quietly watch e games at Anfield. Respects and Admiration for the style of football from Anfield! YNWA!

Can u imagine what that took out of Kenny , the players, the staff and they still gave all they had for the fans they were playing for , now all these years later I feel a fool for not understanding how our team and manager and club fell from the heights, its so obvious.. God Bless the 96 + 1 . YNWA

You forget how good we still were don't you sometimes, its crazy how the years turned to decades, but u also forget that they was the title wait and we still had a hell of a lot of highs that some clubs only dream of. YNWA

Great period the club had from 1974-1990 after the great Bill Shankly quit, and Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish carried the baton on brilliantly.

That Abedeen team was brilliant, but they were no match for a rampant Liverpool. Have to say, as a Celtic fan that gave me a lot of pleasure!

Iv called Souness and I still think he tried to change things too quick but for he tried and tried and for gods sake the man had heart surgery and I'm gonna take it back, at the time we had been so successful that anything less than winning the title was deemed a failure so he probably couldn't win. So many era's to reflect on. So many players to think back on. Some players I admire more now looking back, my underrated 11: Pepe Reina, Steve Staunton, Emlyn Hughes, Ray kennedy, Steve Nicol, Jan Molby, Craig Johnston, Michael Thomas, Fowler, Divok Origi, John Arne Risse. I say Hughes's skill as a footballer was underrated, Ray kennedy was a world talent at the time for me but rarely recognised as so, And Fowler because he was overshadowed by Alan shearer at his peak. Divok Origi should also have been used far more.

Bruce Grobbelaar did not do too bad in his 13 years and collected a few medals. Who else would they have signed in 1981 after Ray Clemence joined Tottenham Hotspur? Look who club signed to challenge him in 1992 and did it improve vastly?
