Two years with the same wage he is on now is fair. If both parties agree to keep his wage the same, Liverpool will at least want to restructure it so that more of the money comes from incentives rather than guaranteed weekly wage. Salah knows how unlikely it is for a player to continue to perform at the same level of the player's peak at 34 years of age and therefor should agree that Liverpool's terms are logical and in my opinion the onus is on Salah has to compromise a little to accept Liverpool's conditions. Rather than two years, Salah will want a two plus one; and as long as Salah agrees to cede control over the triggering of the option for an additional year, then I think the onus would be on Liverpool.
