The team goal against Everton in the 1986 FA cup final will always be one of my favourites. I love the decoy runs by Dalglish and Rush pulling Everton apart, Whelan's chip to Rush was brilliant. Rush's finish was incredible.

The only thing that could have made this a better goal would be if it ended with (as in the 89 final) Neville Southall pounding his fist into the turf and shouting at his defenders. Slotting it home past Bobby Mimms isn't quite as cool.

Agree, I think they thumped Spurs 7-0 in that game and that was one of the last goals. Dalglish against Bruge in the final and Alan Kenedy's winner I all remember watching as a 11- 14 year old kid, but I am not in disagreement with Origi's being the winner. It was one epic comeback.

My husband's from Merseyside and says Terry McDermott (except Tommy Smith in Roma!). The 7th goal against a team which had World Cup winners and rising stars. And the true beginning of the great Dalglish era.

@@g.m.612 I absolutely agree. I LOVED THAT GOAL. The only issue is its relative importance. McDermotts's goal was a blowout in a league game. The Origi goal was super significant. Having said that, Alan Kennedy's and Kenny Dalglish's goals won the European cup (today's Champions League) Younger viewers who voted don't have the history. YNWA!

@@goldy7678 That's an interesting point you make about the relative importance. My reasoning was that it was a superb team goal and in a way so similar to the breakaway goals the current team score. A great goal is a great goal imo irrespective of the match.

@@malcc2278 Yep I agree. McDermott's goal is one of my all time favorites without a doubt. Beautiful flowing move. Dalglish and Kennedy's goals were not spectacular, but they are in the top 10 because they were the only goals of the match that brought those European Cups home back in the 70's and really helped pave the way to European success for years to come.

Love this video. I loved Barneys (Alan Kennedy) goal against Madrid, Terry McDermott’s goal against Spurs and of course Kenny's goal but for me its Stevie G bullet in the FA Cup final thats the greatest followed by Divocks and Stevie 1st in the 2004 final. A special mention goes to Ray Kennedy for his goal in the semi final away to Bayern in the 81 European cup. Even the commentary from Barrie Davies still gives me chills.

I think Origi's goal is also iconic because that was the first trophy of the Klopp era. How different would things be today if they don't complete that comeback? Once the Klopp era is set and done, that goal will be even more iconic than it is today. Personally I voted for Steve G's header. That comeback made me a fan so it's extra special.

man, i was on the bike to catch my train on that origi goal momment. just listening the audio commentary stream with my heatset onside helmet. when its happened, i just crying hard and want to quickly arrive on train to see the replay. that was very emotional momment for me. thx divock and trent for beautifull momment

With the exception of the McDermott goal - which is just one of the greatest goals of all time anywhere - all of these goals meant something. En route to winning a league or a European cup. Torres and Suarez didn’t score a single goal that helped us win anything. That’s just how it is.

Everytime I see that Gerrard strike against West Ham I'm still always stunned when it goes in. I remember watching it live as a boy and being so sure that we would still win that match, such was the faith I had in Stevie. Good selection, not biased towards recent seasons as I thought it might be. I was there for goals no. 6 and no. 5. The noise when David Fairclough's goal went in was unbelievable! Despite getting to Anfield about two hours before kick off the Kop was already full but we just managed to get into the paddock before the gates closed there as well. St Ettiene were such a good side and may well have won the European Cup themselves if we hadn't beaten them.

Think for me would have been between Gerrard’s 2006 FA Cup final 2nd or the Olympiakos 05 goal. We weren’t the strongest side in the 2000s and yet he scored vital goals to bring us out from the darkness. Without that Olympiakos goal, no Istanbul history would be written

I'm pleased to see Terry Mac's goal as high as it is. It had an almost mythical status when I was growing up as the best goal Anfield had ever seen. The fact that it was our seventh in what, at the time, was Spurs' heaviest ever defeat only adds to it.

With the calibre of the great players Liverpool have had over the years, there could easily be a series of 'Legends of the Decade' videos focusing on a particular player in each video (e.g. 'Legends of the 80s - John Barnes') with highlights of their time at the club, interviews with the player himself and/or former teammates (where possible), plus a list of trophies the club won during their time there.
