Apparently Klopp was hands down better a manager than all these others in the league, who get 5-10 injuries for a couple weeks and cannot cope.

Don't get me wrong klopp left Liverpool to Slot with great squad but Slot improves Gakpo,Diaz, Gravenberch,Tsimikas even Konate who is one of the best CB in the world right now. He also bring more patience in build up with this players who played many year with that chaos football with Klopp.

Konate was clearly going to become amazing under Klopp, if only he stayed healthy. I know that Klopp's style was so high energy and so players were more vulnerable to getting burned out than playing for some other managers, but the sheer number of injuries became both peculiar and worrying. Hopefully Slot and his training staff are a bit better -- a little more gentle could go a long way.

Most managers when they leave a club it’s because the club is not doing well so when a new manager comes in it’s because the club needs fixing. Liverpool were lucky that’s not their case. Their manager left because he needed a break from management, so he didn’t leave the club when they were in shambles but actually left a good team. secondly he gave the management ample time to get his replacement, it wasn’t a case of sudden sack and the club is scrambling to find a replacement, no, they had months to review the managers out there and see who would best fit Liverpool. For that I will always respect Juergen Klop, that’s the best way to leave a club.

Slot deserves a lot more credit. Gravenberch has been world class and he wasn’t even a starter last season. Gakpo was not being played in the right position last season and now he is playing so much better! Trent is doing better defensive because he has shown him where he can improve defensively because that was lacking. He made Konate a beast of a player too. Just overall the way we are playing now is so much controlled and when you watch us play there is a lot of confidence we will get a result because we don’t concede a lot of chances. Slot made a big difference since coming in! He is also rotating players a lot more and he is not scared of not playing someone that usually regularly starts if they are underperforming and that’s keeping everyone on their toes and keeping a high standard cause their spot is not guaranteed just because of their name! I love that about Slot!

What Slot is doing really well is using the players correctly via game management. If their is the slightest Inkling of a player injured on the field of play then he takes them off and brings on quality. He's being really cautious with the introduction of Chiesa who hasn't had a full pre season and needs to get up to premier league level fitness. With Trent he didn't rush him in at the begining having him play full 90 minutes games. Slot is proving to be very astute with how he's managing the team and the early expectations. I'm not getting carried away but the future looks bright for the Redmen. There's a long way to go.

This is a very rare occasion that I think big praise should also go to board level, sporting directors, chief exec etc. Once Alonso took himself out of the running it would have been easy to go for the more flashy / well known Amorim. Instead they had the good sense and patience to realise that we needed a manager who was more in line with the tactics, system and ethos that we already have. It's paying off big time !

Liverpool fan here. Managers leave for various reasons mostly 99% on a bad note: a rebuild, aging squad, termination of contract, illness. Klopp cared about Liverpool. He was in the process of rebuilding. Liverpool 2.0 was work in progress and would have been at their peak in 2026 when Klopp was scheduled to leave. So Klopp left 2 years early and this team looks ready. Could have easily won the title least season. Still some kinks to iron out and they need to find consistency.

Fans (including Liverpool fans) need to separate this current team under Slot from the teams under Klopp. Slot's game management style is his own and his conservative approach to protect what you have instead of always going for the throat is a positive sign that they won't fall off after gaining a decent points lead in the league. Liverpool are a more solid outfit all round this season and are very, very hard to beat. Liverpool are also hard to score against and the evidence is in the stats. Ignore all this "we haven't played anyone yet" garbage because that opinion comes from a place of hate and not logic. All Liverpool have to do now is continue to build on what we have, forget about City and any other challengers and just concentrate on our own business. I honestly think that Slot knows what he's doing and we Liverpool fans need to trust him. It's OK to be confident without being cocky.

They started higlighting where Slot might be less good then Klopp, and now they went to: it is Klopp´s legacy. Look, I love Klopp and he left a lot. But Slot is clearly outperforming him, and he is doing that by improving some key areas of the team, and maintaining key elements of Klopp´s work. Earning Salah´s respect, Gravenbergh is a revelation due to his tweaks, Konate, Jota, Gakpo and MacAllister improving. Anyway: the great thing about Slot is that he doesn´t care - he just keeps methodolically working on getting the best out of his team. Just brilliant! But management also deserves so much credit: I think Liverpool is today the best managed club in the world (or at least among them, with overperforming teams like Atalanta, Brighton, Leverkusen). Hope they get the success they deserve.

Lifelong Liverpool Fan of 40 years, and I'm staggered we are 9-1-lost 1. I would be happy in City's position of 7-2-lost 2. Our Injuries this time around is lesser. What's changed that is working better for us is formation change and players being able to adapt to switching of positions when needed. High Press I believe has changed to emphasis of building from the back and no High Line. Experience too has so far paid off.

Acting as if it was obvious they would do well after talking about gaps in defence and uncertainty over ability in the defensive midfield slot. The team has dome well with a difficult run of games. Liverpool have 2 proper options for each position no team in the league can say that. So there was no big need to sign. If VVD gets injured then I worry. Quansah is not good enough

Also i’m not making excuses for FSG im just saying there’s no obvious signing to make in the summer just gone, maybe a centre back but slot apparently rated gomez at centre back so we have 4 solid options there in his opinion. FSG have limited investment so ill take a summer of nothing so next summer if we need a replacement for salah or van dijk we’ll have more to spend

We still have lots to improve, lots to learn. Slott says himself that the team needs to be told at half time certain changes that need to happen in the game, that in the next year or 2 they will do automatically or mid play. We need new players, we need to keep important players, and the season just started. You win nothing at Christmas. It's been a great start, long may it continue. But this is just the start. Slott seems to have been a very good purchase, however. Let's hope he's just as good at buying players, because if they give him money and he pulls an eth and buys players like anthony, his great coaching will mean nothing. In 5 years time I'll tell you how good he is, or isn't!.
