I think this show is so cringe. Its embarrassing. I now see why Liverpool’s rivals don’t like their fans. They are so cocky so cringe and really unbearable. Weird fan base, weird accents. I see where you're coming from however Bob Paisley is one of the greatest managers of all time. Managers like him are more often that not the exception and not the rule. The man won more European Cups as Liverpool manager in 9 years than most clubs have in their entire history You also have to keep in mind that he was the assistant coach under Shankly for 14 years and before that he was a player at Liverpool for 15 years. He was at the club for most of his life in some shape or form

United fan here. Fabulous manager, Klopp. Superb. Wish we had appointed him post-Fergie. We'd be in far better shape than we are now. However, Klopp will be judged (across all of football, not by Liverpool fans) based on what he's won. You can argue all you like about how many points they got, how much they pushed City, how close they got etc...but as Keane said to Carragher "Yeah, you ALMOST won...you didn't win". Having said that, you can't dispute how he galvanised that club, the football they played, the standards they did reach. Just a shame that there's only 4 trophies to show for it in 9 years. Especially when many said they're the best team in the world.

You have a feeling Alonso is the right guy when rival fans like Madrid and Manchester City are nervous. There are fans hoping he does not win the Bundesliga, so LFC don't have a reason to hire him. I heard Real Madrid even built their team in hopes of Alonso eventually being their manager, but extending Carlos deal at Real Madrid and Klopp unexpectedly quitting has now made it tricky for big clubs that were considering him as their future manager. It is a chess move by Klopp. Also depending on how long Klopp decides to take a break he could be available in 3 months or less than a year again similar to what he did at Dortmound, so there are clubs, and international teams like Germany who don't want to make a rash decision about their next manager just in case Klopp becomes available again.

Don't know why no one mentions Diego Simone and Simone Inzaghi.. These two are top top managers Scarp Alonso you have to choose a top proven manager and the two above including Hansi flick (a bit more of gamble since he failed) are the best option for Liverpool because Doyle is talking about Alonso being the best for the transition but LFC's squad is ready to not have a transition period.. A manager announcing his leaving mid season can go three ways. Firstly, the team becomes emotional and galvanized and win the titles. Secondly the players starting to lose focus because they are thinking about their future post that manager and lose control of the season. Thirdly, the team becomes too emotional that they are going to affect the title race, being too emotional, which can lead to slip ups (like Arsenal last season)

On the topicof charisma, there are different types. Klopp is very passionate and loud and commands the room every time but we really do need a calm assured vibe after him. Xabi is perfect for that while having the same level of elite mentality and hardwork and performance. It can be likened to Paisley coming after Shankly.
