I grew up watching Bruce Grobbelaar and he was one of my early footballing heroes. Very entertaining as a player and as a character when we we told about his previous life in Southern Africa. I have North African roots (Morocco) and its nice for me to see our brothers from Southern Africa appreciate players like Mohamed Salah and to call him 'an African hero'. Warms my heart actually. He is an absolute gem. One of Liverpool's best signings ever, and that's saying something considering we had Mane, and Firmino in their prime. Individually he has been the best, he's got everything . Great to see Mo making another Liverpool fan very very happy. I was fortunate to visit Anfield for my first time in 2016 but unfortunately was unable to enter & see the stand & field as it was under renovation. Despite that I’m happy coz I get to finally visit my favourite football club since my school days back in the 60s on black & white TV then. ( guessed you know my age now, haha! ) Upon my return I was diagnosed with 3 serious blocked arteries that required bypass. However, I’m happy that since my return from Anfield, Liverpool had turned around and even win European and English championships since then. 👍👍👍
