Especially during his time at AZ (best start to a season ever for the club, denied winning the league by goal difference after the season ended early due to COVID, and secured the knock-out phase in the Europa League) and also Feyenoord (won the league, the cup, and achieved significant European successes, including reaching the Conference League final and a strong run in both the Europa League and Champions League). He consistently outperformed expectations, and for me, this alone is enough evidence to recognize that Arne is on another level. As a Feyenoord and Arne fan, I am very pleased to see that his philosophy and personality align so well with the teams he leads. He continues to prove that he is one of the greatest managers around. Time will tell just how great he truly is, but for now, we can simply enjoy the moment and appreciate this exceptional level of professionalism.

@janvanveelen I disagree, he should be confident in himself to rise above it and show professionalism. His ego is such that he thought how dare anyone say anything to me, even in a banter-filled way. When someone is a big an ego-maniac as him he struggles to cope and that is a very bad trait. Easily rattled basically. He should be someone that keeps quiet and let his football and trophies do the talking without being so fragile. The odd bit of banter is fine but the difference is he carried it on in the press conference criticising Liverpool fans and getting his players like Ortega to insult the people of Liverpool in general. It really is not that deep it was just a bit of playful banter and it rattled Pep which really is not a great look for him.
