The saying "You've come a long way baby." certainly applies to both of you. You have gone from working, to building a successful business, to extremely hard times losing the business, your home, and your rental homes, to living in the tiny home you fixed up, to the trucking job, to rebuilding the home with your son, to getting one smaller home and fixing it up for yourselves, to getting the second home that you fixed up and can live in when the weather is too harsh for Elizabeth, and now to this truck/camper/RV/joy on wheels. All the while building your Thrive business, and more importantly, building and working on your marriage. Lots of patience, prayer, hard work, work, work, work. Thank you God, thank you Jesus. CONGRATULATIONS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK AND SHARING IT WITH ALL OF US!!! THROUGH YOU, YOUR FAITH, AND YOUR COURAGE, WE HAVE ENJOYED YOUR PROGRESS ALONG YOUR JOURNEY. YOU HAVE GIVEN ALL OF US WHO WATCH YOUR VIDEOS - JOY, HUMOUR, PLEASANT THOUGHTS, RENOVATION TIPS AND TRICKS, A RENEWED FAITH IN HUMANITY AND IN JESUS. YOU HAVE COME A LONG WAY BABY!!!

Good morning! My husband and I live full-time in our 18 foot cargo conversion! Kudos on tbe chest type fridge/freezer! We have a chest deep freezer we converted into a fridge with a bluebird temp control unit! Works perfectly and hardly needs defrosting!! Also, we have a composting toilet. For us we use coconut coir as a medium and have 12v air supply to the composting area plus a stirring method. This goes along way in controling stink and gnats etc. Just commenting on what we do full time. You obviously, need to continue to do what is right for you two!! I love your layout for you guys! P.S. my husband made our couch by day and bed by night with a metal slat system! Works fantastically!!!! ❤

Your floor plan looks very functional it’s true a double bed restricts the available floor space too much, we converted a short wheel base Toyota Coaster and climbing over your partner to get off the east west double bed Is not easy with the passing years. We elected to have a cupboard with shelves and no hanging space it works well no regrets. Those pesky curved sides certainly made fitting the overhead cupboards and shower closet so tricky, oh for straight walls! A friend gifted is a portable induction cook top I have to admit that it’s quicker to get to heat than our gas is however how much energy it uses if your free camping with solar and batteries I’m not sure. I’m so looking forward to seeing the progress Bill you always do an excellent job and Elizabeth is a great planner.

I love that you're keeping the ramp. I have never seen a camper that is ever handicapped friendly ♿. Just because a person might use a wheelchair doesn't mean that he/she doesn't want or need to use a camper. Access is always denied if you can't use stairs. I hate having to use stairs and I am still, for now able to use them.

When we bought our house here in Tennessee, I came down a couple of times, before we moved from our condo. I bought an air mattress at Walmart. The brand was Intex, and the single one with the built-in pump was only $40. Of course, they make them in other sizes too. It inflated or deflated in about a minute and a half. It did really well, it didn't leak and it was easy to move around. I was able to get it pumped up to a firmness that really allowed me to sleep well, which was super important, as I was very busy working on things in the house. It was a great solution, after it was deflated it packed into its own storage bag. I didn't keep it, I donated it after we moved our furniture and things down here, but it certainly was a good choice for me. It was much more comfortable than just a foam mattress on the floor would have been. I'm really enjoying this series of videos, I've been thinking about doing this same kind of thing for a while. You be blessed, too!

Hubby and I got two single double decker Intels with built in pump that we use when tent camping. Incredibly comfortable! We also have a Queen but it’s too bouncy when both of us are on it. So we sleep sooooo good on two twins. They don’t sag at all.

Love the plan! We did a cargo conversion and discovered the same thing regarding the bed. It was too hard to crawl into bed and crawl over each other, so we put in 2 twin size beds, regular for me and extra long for my 6’5” husband. His bed is a little higher than mine for additional tote storage underneath.

Although he doesn't build box trucks, the most innovative van builder I've seen on KZbin is Humble Road. His ideas are genius! I look forward to following your latest journey in building out the box truck. Praying God's blessings continue. Speaking of prayers, I would appreciate your prayers for my mini Schnauzer. I adopted him mid-November 2023, & in February 2024 he was diagnosed with Blastomycosis Fungus. Apparently he was in contact with the virus before I adopted him, but the worst of it didn't appear until recently. I can save him if I am able to raise the funds, & am applying at every organization that offers assistance for veterinary bills & donate directly to the clinic. Please help me pray that several will approve the application for Tucker so I can save his life. I'm a senior on a very limited budget, so I am unable to do it myself. Thanks in advance for your prayers. ~ Nita

What a fun project! I would suggest a full size travel trailer size (not fifth wheel sized) Dometic camper refrigerator/freezer that has two separate doors. We have had the smaller ones and did not have enough space for our cold foods. I don't think you would regret the bigger fridge. This is going to be so much fun to watch y'all start from an empty trailer to a custom made camper. Excited to see your upcoming videos!😊

Really sounds like you have thought a lot on this. It will be very nice. Are you planning then on living in the rollup door? Will one of the windows at the back of the camper be a possible emergency exit? Will the weight of the electrical offset the weight of the water on the opposite side? I am sure your friend has thought about all that. I am thrilled for you to make this and use it. Certainly will be better than commercially made.

this is a solid plan the only adjustment that I could think ow would be is move shower to small walk in door gain floor to roof closet or counter space and commode on a pull out under closet with curtains or just use it in the shower space on a pull out setup ramp also makes a pull out cooking space. cheep heat and ac can be a window unit and a china diesel heater. CDH is not the most reliable thing Propane cooking can save power a lot of for ac get everything 12v that you can laptops can be run usbc they have high power 12v chargers for usbc get one the puts 20v out
