That red Heitzig Kenworth lives just down the road from me. Even their regular work trucks look like show trucks, and always clean.

Well done with a great song too. A great blend of beautiful sleds and old-time working trucks like that 'ol Dodge near the end. I hauled cattle for a couple years back in the mid 70's. Truck & Trailer COE Freightliner for Miller Livestock out of Bakersfield. Mostly Texas feeders back to CA and a few fats from wherever to James Allen Beef in Stockton. Also was proud to drive for H&H Meat in Fresno, 3 axle COE Freightliner and a Merritt cattle wagon. We also hauled feeders and then cul dairy cows for slaughter. Occasionally we'd snag a back haul of rodeo cattle. Now THERE is some hoofs that knew how to load! They'd march on like soldiers and march off the same way, they'd load every week at least so they knew the drill. While traversing Texas we came across some of the Sonny Campbell cattle wagons out of El Paso. Usually youngsters (as was I) driving those trucks, they were ALL conventional Pete's or KW's with BIG power and beautiful paint schemes and great trailers. Drivers didn't make much but boy they had the iron. Cattle hauling was some of if not the best driving jobs I had. Sure beat dry freight all to heck.

Great video . Love those cabovers. I drove a cabover Freightliner back in the 1970,s and they were good trucks. The doghouse was level with the seats and you could strech out across the front seats and cat nap while waiting to load. Please keep those videos coming . Thanx.

My 1st. Truck was a 1973 Mack Cabover. She's probably in a metal grave yard some where. But damn , she could haul any load.

Exactly how I feel. This new generation sucks ass man. Green new deal or some crap. It’s all bullcrap. Give me an Ole’ Cabover Freightliner with a 400’ Big Cam Cummins With a 13 Speed Transmission and 3.73 rear ends and I’ll be flying down that highway. Leave a slight smoke cloud everytime I shift. Just how I like it. These Damn new DPF ( dick-piss-fuel ) trucks are a disgrace to our trucking industry. They’re broken down on every corner. It’s all bull........ shit

My first truck was #2650 Glen McClendon Trucking Lafayette Alabama. A set back Front axle 144 inch wb International. Motor so small pulling Sandstone in WVA I'd be on the shoulder in 1st gear Praying her up the hill. Getting laughed at by Roadway. You'll always miss your first anything.

Those cab over KW's just seem like timeless class. Even back in the day a fleet KW cab over just stood way out from the crowd of Rattle Traps or I mean Freight Liners n International COE's.

brings back memories one of the pictures old freightliner parked side by side I subhauled for that company some times when they were short on trucks if I wasn't busy I would help them out

I like the american cabover....but you are sitting so depp. In european trucks you are sitting much higher. There is no perfect truck. Every truck got his Problems. But at the end every truck is a nice machine
