We have many 18 inches of snow in Edmonton Alberta but man minus 25 30 degrees celsius. You will die out there if not protected. Its the cold that kills. And it doesn't take long. If you're in your and it's out of gas or broken. And you are not prepared. You will die. And its not pleasant if you are found and lots frostbite. The pain is mindblowing. it's not "want". this is just a (fairly) typical winter storm. yes, this one was a lot, but we get 3-4 major lake effect snowstorms per season. yesterday into today was probably 36-40" (just guessing, because lake effect is very localized, so some places will get 15" and some will get 40"), and even fifteen miles south of town, the snow didn't even completely cover the grass. it's inconvenient, and it can be difficult in spots, but remember, the vloggers are going where they hear the action is on the radio, and some of the spots they have (repeatedly) filmed are notoriously bad, because they get a lot of traffic, or because they're on a steep hill, or at a busy intersection, etc.

Like Michigan we are ready for it. Michigan has a new weapon 3 yrs old. Pop-I screen on windshield.Satellite guidance. Takes some getting use too. Driving in a video game! Complete white out accurate to 3 inch! Hauling ass with a 17 ton snowplow at 60 mph by driving blindly in a blizzard-50F on your windshield your truck and your life depended on this video game. What exhilaration! I’m 78 I’ve done it. Car or human in road shows up red! Michigan has gale force winds with 4/inches per 45 minutes. Insane driving. Old Plow drivers called it Star Wars mom! One . Every time you turn on computer guidance it’s Star Wars with a 26-24 ton snowplow 😅. What fun . Some day on the interstate highway driverless snowplows. Michigan and Canada will do this. Michigan identifies with Canada. Our biggest border and Trading partner. We go where Canada goes! Satellite providence🤗🇺🇸🇨🇦

i think i figured i spent seven hours snowblowing, yesterday, and three, today, before it (temporarily) stopped. the early lake effect storms are more difficult, because the ground is warm, so the bottom inch is all water. the lake is warm, so it snows a lot more, and the snow is warm, so it's thick and heavy, and it doesn't blow well.

WINTER'S SNOW & LOVE -2024** Over the heads of all I meet Falls winter's life giving snow. Upon the rooftops and the streets Filling the sky and earth below. Dancing, swirling, skimming along, Like the snows of yesteryears. There's lots of ice on the windows As my lashes freeze over with tears. It's so cold; it's too cold to snow Yet the snow continues to fall. The land is covered blanket white As the winter winds wail their call. There's a red-hot fire awaiting me That will thaw out my every part. It's not the glow of a fireplace But the love that dwells in my heart. By Tom Zart
