When I was a little kid in the early 1960's my mom would rock me and sing me songs, one of which was "Mockingbird Hill," and it has been one of my favorite songs to this day. (I think the best version, hands down, is that by Hank Snow and Anita Carter.) Then I got thinking - where did this song come from? A quick Google search and - Thank you Scandinavia! I should have known by cheerful, playful melody! (Pardon all the exclamation points, but that's how thrilled I am to find the origin.) Thank You Lars and friends for a wonderful version of one of my life-long favorite melodies!
