I remember Livewire from Superman:TAS. Her origin story was very different in the series where she gave bad comments about Superman and later got her powers from a lightning bolt mixed with Superman's powers when he tried to save her from being electrocuted!

@Elie C Because she has the history and legacy that is curiously interesting. She may not be super-powered or even costumed, but like other civilian big names DC Comics, I wouldn't call her inclusion ridiculous. This is Comic Origins after all and I think it isn't all focused on just super beings.

1. She really had no reason to hate Superman. Even before losing her job. 2. Superman is not the reason she lost her job. It’s unfortunate the station decided to make a change, but it had nothing to do with him. 3. She sounds like a spoiled brat who’s just trying to be edgy. In a more capable writer's hands, I feel like they could actually explore this aspect of Leslie Willis a lot more... Maybe she's like J. J. Jameson in that her hatred for Superman is at first played for laughs but then is actually revealed to be born out of some personal tradgedy. Or maybe she's a rebellious punk who just likes to "go against the flow" a lot so she just bashes Superman with not so founded criticism for no other reason than troll him for "the LoL's" and the reason she's such a punk is because she lived in a "doorless house" with helicopter parents, or maybe she used to work for the Daily Planet once but then quit to become a rock star when she found that their takes on Superman were becoming a little too biased, then one day (after nearly being assaulted by a crazy fan) she become the test subject of this femenist scientist's experiement to make women "assault proof" by giving them tazer powers, but then her's goes wrong when a thunderstorm hits her.

@@acemarvel1564 Personally, I want to respect feminists, but they have a nasty habit of targeting actually good men and leaving alone the bad ones, if not rewarding them. The fact that she bashes Superman instead of Luthor is a good example. Sure, he has this image that most people don't see through, but if feminism is supposed to be anti-capitalist, Luthor's head should reasonably be on live wire's chopping block. Not the guy who literally saves people without asking for anything in return. If she was bashing Luthor, and Superman just got in the way, I can see her being written better. But because her issue is with a man who only does good, she is a total idiot. And because the feminist label is often attached to idiots like Live Wire, who act like spoiled brats, often times they take on the label intentionally, I do not respect feminism. Superman doesn't talk politics, bash anyone, or take sides. He just does good for anyone who needs it. Even Bruce Wayne follows this same train of thought. When that gambling casino had the Joker's face, Bruce just said "No Comment." I mean, those two words expressed enough of his feelings, but he didn't verbally attack the joker.

The next Superman film really should have her in it. We need more variety for Superman in film. He’s only ever had Lex, Zod and a bastardized Bizarro. Aubrey Plaza would be perfect for a film adaption of Livewire.

What a selfish hypocrite of a diva, she doesn’t care about the life of the radio stations manager’s wife he’s just saved, or the lives of the around her she’s causing havoc to, all she cares about is loosing her status and job on the radio to spew venomous slander that’s not true about Superman, and even blames him for something she did to herself essentially.
