Awesome choice, I've been thinking of getting the del mar myself after i test rode one at the dealer in Scottsdale

Fantastic video. As someone who is looking to purchase this exact same bike, and as someone who lives in the same Arizona area as you, I have a couple questions. No clue if you'll answer them, but here it goes. - Did you have to finance the bike or did you buy it out right? As someone who is looking to put a good chunk of money down and then pay the rest off (and I've never done this) I'm curious if Harley is good at this. People on reddit seem to say there's nothing to worry about and there is no hidden fees or balloon payments at the end of the payments, but I'm asking anyone I can on this. - Even though that LiveWire claims a range of 113 miles (city), again with EV's they always take the best they possibly can. I ride an ebike almost everywhere right now and even when they say "range" it's always something like, "we tested this with a 150lb rider on a dead flat road with no wind and it was in eco mode only... As someone who only wants this bike for commuting around the metro area in Maricopa county, I personally think this will be fine for me. Considering both my apartments and my job have free Level 2 charging and I rarely go anywhere that isn't groceries or short trips....... Basically my question is, are you satisfied with the range you get? - I admit this one may be an odd one to answer --- I'll be honest, I currently do not have my motorcycle license. I am signed up for the TEAM Arizona course in a few weeks to fix this. Everyone who has a license tells me it's the best way to get it and to just, "relax, pay attention and have some fun, you'll pass". However in-between me getting my license and hopefully landing this S2 Del Mar, I essentially don't have any bike to "practice" on.... I've seen people say, "this isn't a beginners bike" and also seen, "this is great for someone who doesn't like all the motorcycle controls". For me it seems perfect because of the lack of shifting, clutch and because I'm not a speed demon and cannot possibly see myself ever just using all the torque it has to offer.... Basically where do you rate this in terms of difficulty? Either way, great video, very insightful.... My biggest fear with LiveWire is that they won't do well financially and will go under, leaving people who have this crazy new bike out in the dust without the ability to repair.... I cannot see them doing it because it's backed by Harley, but that's a fear I have as well. Dropping so much money and then in 2 or 3 years you cannot get support anywhere.

Regarding the Start button not also functioning as a Stop button....instead, just put the kick stand down. It took me about 1,000 miles on my Mulholland before I figured this out. To get going again, raise the stand and hit the Start button. Cheers!

Thanks for all the sharing of your process of testing and initial thoughts of ownership. I am just starting to get serious about it myself. I was amazed at how quiet the ride was, but I’m sure you can audio filter it too. It’s a similar thing to me using a bone conducive headset for phone calls while driving… I can hear what’s happening all around me. So here is one question for you, do you feel like you’re more aware of the traffic around you because you can hear them better? Just wondering?

Going to check both out tomorrow.. before I saw your test rides, I was pretty sure I wanted a Mulholland.. now I’m leaning more towards the Del Mar! My only concern is the seat height.. I’m 5’3-3/4 😬 any idea if the bike can be lowered?

Me again...regarding app connectivity. Popping the seat and removing and reinserting the main fuse seems to wake the TCU back up and have it reconnect to the cellular network. It's certainly not ideal. However, I took my bike in for its 1,000 mile service last week and a number of software updates were applied as well. Since then, I haven't had to pull the main fuse and connectivity has been great. I had another issue where the traction control would randomly turn off, behaving just like I did a 1-second press of the TC button, only it wouldn't turn back on until the bike sat for a few hours or I pulled the main fuse. This seems to have been corrected as well. Navigation is still trash, sadly.

Success! I tried pulling the fuse and was finally able to reconnect. 😀 Thanks for the suggestion, hope it stays up without a trip to the dealership.

From NC750X DCT to Triumph, KTM, GSXS and this? Why?

Especially since the other two Del Mar's you tried had a plusher ride yours likely will too once full bedded in (like your rear brake).

Wow brother ! How many bikes have you purchased in a short period of time just to find out you didn't like it ? Should of just kept the Honda NC 750 X DCT. All around practical bike as you know. Now your very limited. But hey , you do you. Maybe someday you will figure it out for yourself. Still , ?????????
