@@leavingbabylonfamily yes, and in my defense, tried to talk my husband into it and he said no and then he died. I married again and talked him into it. In fact, before we moved he told his doctor we were moving off grid to live in a tiny cabin and she asked him what his wife thought of it and he said it was my idea. ha ha mostly hear women do not want to. I am feminine but it was my dream even in high school, reading Mother Earth News magazines instead of Glamour

Have you tried making yogurt yet, it's much easier than cheese and it's a really great breakfast with fruit. I used to make it every three days to keep the culture going. I would have to buy a tiny tub of Bulgarian yoghurt to get it started though.👍

No I haven't . Need to look into it . The problem is I don't have loads of milk. I always need to collect milk for a few days before I can make a cheese. So I need to choose, either use it for cheese or for something else . At the moment I'm sticking with making cheese, and getting my recipe refined

All seeds have now been manipulated in such a way that the taste of fruit and vegetables is changing more and more. The original colors of many old vegetable varieties no longer exist. Everything is bred in color, is becoming sweeter, and the bitter substances that warn of taste, such as in spinach, Brussels sprouts, kale, etc., have almost been bred out. In some cases, the seeds or even oat flakes, for example, are sprayed with glyphosate to speed up the drying process. The more colorful and prettier the packaging, the worse the contents.

Especially USA. Agriculture and food production are being "poisoned"
@leavingbabylonfamily5 ай бұрын
Yes I know that is true, but around here you still find some old varieties or some organic seeds from small companies but yes most vegetables lost most of their nutrients throughout the years of breeding for bigger and more sweet vegetables, wich is sad..

Thankyou for your ideas about real needs: you say we only need food, water and shelter. However, what is your opinion about relationship and friends? Intellectual exploration in conversation? For example, where I live I have very little opportunity for enriching conversation, even the awakened neighbours are not into this culture. It can be lonely and sometimes I imagine this European vibe and wish I had more of it. Then I wonder, am I also building an illusion about European culture that is not or no longer true?
@leavingbabylonfamily5 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for your very good question! Bit difficult to give you an answer here in just a few sentences. But yes that is challenging to find intellectual conversations, but I found that to be difficult as well before I move here to... I often was surrounded by friends and loved ones , but still always had a hunger to some deep philosophical conversations, and I find that still to be the case here, however I am very happy to have some good neighbors around here with who I can have some good talks, with some of them I share common interests, wich makes talking with them fun. But still I get a hunger for deeper conversations to . I was very blessed as a young man to have met somebody who became one of my best friends, who was also a mentor to me, but most importantly who challenged me In Conversations and I challenged him back. Sadly my friend past away few years ago, he is the biggest loss I have ever dealt with, he left a void in me, wich I been searching to fill, but am now realizing that void will always be a void..I'm just Really happy with al the lessons he learned me, and sometimes I still try talking with him When it comes to friendships and relationships, I personally am somebody who loves to be by myself, but I do value having some good people close to me..However I realy don't need loads of friends, if I have a handful of Really good friends that's all I need... hope this answers your questions a bit
@qoriquentegallegos83975 ай бұрын
@@leavingbabylonfamily Thankyou for your answer. In fact, the void left when your mentor passed on is a gift: it provides the voltage you need to make the jump to higher octaves and ask your higher soul fragments to descend and integrate with your 3D physical vehicle and existence here. This in turn enriches your consciousness and increases your radiance for others. He can hear you when you talk to him. The knowledge will come now without someone else filling his place. When you are older maybe you will do the same for another younger person.

People are programmed robot slaves of the system thinking happyness starts with extern factors like status, money, material things that means nothing and its relativ and an illusion create by society. If your happyness depend on extern factors you will never be happy because extern factors are endless. Happyness starts inside you. Thats why a lot of people work and then buy stuff or look a certain way to create an illusion for the outside world out of emptyness.....sad. The more people around you, the more expectations, talk about others, lying, frustrations, negativity, jealousy, hate, negativity, jealousy, double standards, own benefits, judge, comparing etc..... reflection of their broken souls. Alone or in solitude you have more strength, peace, power, happyness, freedom and time to reflect and work on yourself. The here and now is where the magic happens. Be the light in your own life. And no, not feeling superior or better then others but more be carefully and awake. Blessed to you

Hi Sil. I used to work in a dairy in a historical re-enactment centre, and, though I am kot an expert, the head dairy woman there always taught me to disturb the curds as little as possible when cutting, so as to lose as little milk protein in the way as possible. Your whey looks too milky. Maybe you could benefit from treating the curds more gently, to lose less milk? Try cutting it into squares with a sharp knife, or a whey cutter, and then hang it overnight to release the whey, rather than pressing it out by hand. Otherwise, I think you’re losing a lot of goodness. We used to feed the whey to our pigs too - they love it, even if it is just the clear stuff left over, and it is great for fattening them up.🙂 Feel free to ignore this and carry on doing it the way you feel best though - as I said, I’m no expert, just sharing an idea.
