I am a 62 year old woman who has been painting in oils since I was 14. I was trained in a very classical manner and specialize in portraits. I absolutely love watching your vlogs! I love to see the progress of your paintings but what I mostly love is to listen to your thoughts and musings. Besides being a very talented artist, you are a very articulate young woman. Your focus and work ethic is admirable. I enjoy watching your vlogs because you are you. Don’t feel like you need to change a thing unless you want to. Keep up the good work and you will definitely get to where you want to be!

I'm so happy to hear that Denise, thank you! I really love sharing what's going on in my head and to know it's welcomed by others is wonderful. It's also great to hear from other artists, 48 years of painting sounds like a dream to me! I will keep doing my best. :)

I love your vlogs the way they are, don‘t pressure yourself to do anything different because others do it. your videos are so natural and interesting and I remember every painting you worked on on this channel because it‘s in multiple videos. you‘re one of my favorite youtubers, just keep doing what feels right to you 😇

Yes , I enjoyed your vlog 🙂! loved the idea of the sticky notes 👍 Your ideas behind your paintings reflects through them and I agree how important every task people are doing for work is important , after all we are a chain where all the links are equally important ! Great to see your painting coming alive quietly where you want it to be , hearing you talk about it and seeing the progress is stimulating . Gosh that floor looks fantastic . It's nice to see how nature gives us beautiful colour schemes this time of the year and I am happy we slowly tumble into springtime , f i n a l l y 😮💨 Can't wait to see your next video but 'patience is a beautiful gift 😊 . Cheers to a wonderful week !

Ha! I thought those sticky notes were pretty clever too! 😁 I always wonder if repeating things like that will make it boring. It's great to know that the ideas reflect through the paintings well, any kind of feedback on the conceptual stuff is much appreciated. Thanks for all your thoughts, spring is knocking on our doors now. :) I'm sending sunshine!

I love how your videos reflect art as a part of real life and real life a part of art, it is a unique perspective that I enjoy a lot! Also the bits about planning, for me that is just as much a part of intentional living as the art making, so I love that. Hope you keep doing what your doing 😊

Thank you again for all your vlogs. They are wonderful. This one came at just the right time for me. I have been procrastinating and not painting for over a week. I think it’s fear that holds me back. Will I be good enough? . . . . Thanks for sharing your feelings as well as your process. I consider you a friend, too.

What great timing then! Will it be good enough, or worth the effort, is a common question around here too. I hope you can make some positive steps forward this week :)

I love you watching you. It sounds so weird but you’re so calming (which is crazy cause in half your videos, you’re like silently spiralling lol). I am a delulu painter (in my head I want to paint but I don’t do it), and even though we have different styles I really admire your work ethic and your production … process ? Please continue making vlogs 🥰
@mariasisul8 ай бұрын
Oh yes, lots of spiraling, especially before going to sleep. 😂 I'm happy that I'm still calming for you! I've gone through stages of being a delulu painter too. It's fun just to find people that uplift us and make things feel possible, not matter the style or work. Thank you 💛🌼

Yes, I enjoyed your vlog and I'm certain that I am far from being the only one who did. Your two-week format for making these videos seems to work well, and you're right; it's better to take us along your projects bit by bit in this way than via one big video for each project. We feel like we're going through each project with you. At least I do, anyway. Keep up the good work!

Awesome vlog as always, why do people do that...? Where I started with awesome vlog... Then but not that special... I don't mean it I just kept it as it shows where unique emphasis can be confusing. But it is a great vlog, and it got me moving... Which is also unique as I haven't yet but will put in 6-10 hours since I watched this. Ivan is freaking ingenious multiple skills guy... You are right though we are your friends this community because often an art vloggers community is made up of creatives/artists and we're often too poor to buy right away, but you're overly deserving of any sales you get, and I hope for more/some soon 😁😎, also the 2 weeks is working great. Great creative days ahead Maria/Ivan Dave from Canada
@mariasisul8 ай бұрын
Thanks Dave! I hope the work goes well for you! Yes he is definitely multi-talented, always willing to learn new skills. 👍😂 I appreciate the support, sales are not my goal currently so I think it's easier to connect with a variety of people. It's great meeting all kinds of creatives online, I appreciate it a lot. cheers!

Hey Maria Firstly, I like the idea that we are your friends scattered all over the world😊. Then, secondly, as always, I really love your videos and listening to your thought process. I LOVE your reason for painting people in everyday professions - it is a beautiful and I totally agree with you on doing things in a way that reflects your morals and beliefs. Those things are part of the building blocks of a person, and creating art that reveals them reflects you as a person - and that is true authenticity. I also agree with you on shorts, I find the short snippets of videos very disatisfying, and it definitely prompts scrolling. Love the length of your videos, but if you want to make a longer video...I'd still watch it😅 Hope you are keeping well and that you are having a great painting week!

I'm really glad you like the concept/value behind my subject matter! Knowing that it connects with others is very rewarding. I truly do have lots of friends scattered all over, all working on their own things and making the best out of life, I like that! :) And I think I just get restless and am always looking for new ideas to try out, the feeling usually passes, but if not maybe I will try out some new creations. Have a good week yourself Irene!

Hey! I am an admirer of not only your art but also your reason for doing it, and your process! Your such an inspiration to me as an artist! Not only did I find your vlog refreshing but I also found it extremely useful. Every time someone asks me what I mean when I say I want to do art for a living I can never explain to them exactly what that is, but I feel like your videos are the answer to that. I am consistently improving in my art, and you just reassured me that being comfortable with change is a way to do that! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and your mindset! I love how your videos make me feel while watching them, and they put me in the good art vibes..

‘The masterpiece is the next one.’ I’ll try to remember that! What’s that marker you use for the underdrawing? I’m stealing your process. I always use pencil but it smudges and makes my paint muddy.. Thanks for the video Maria, I have said this multiple times but I really love seeing how you look at life, it makes me slow down, even if it’s only for 22 minutes at a time. I like to imagine we truly are friends, we hang out pretty often anyways! All the love, Thuban.
@mariasisul8 ай бұрын
It's a prismacolor premiere marker. But I can only recommend it for with water based mediums. I haven't tested it with oil paint and can't recommend it for that. Also a clear fixative spray on your pencil drawing would prevent it from smudging as well. I'm very happy that you're always enjoying my perspective 😊

@@mariasisul cool...he has his own landscaping business! a "STAND UP ON" MOWER is a great idea...just like these newish "paddle boards" that seem to be the trend up here in The Yukon on Kookatsoon Lake...where I live...you actually stand up and paddle...uses your body much more than any sitting paddling option....Yes...remember pushing the lawn mower...for the half acre of grass we had...for most of my childhood...it took like A LONG TIME......even better exercise...but less effective to what Yvan has got himself...good for him!
