The paid portion of the video is indeed true. Used to work with a mental health institution in the U.S as a credentialing analyst for mental health professionals and has experienced setting appointments as well for patients with mental illness. I talked to them prior to their appointments and used to talk to some who were already diagnosed. Some get the help they need while others get upset and need to be rematched with other practitioners. There were times as well na Yung nakakausap mo is under medication and they get really stressed once paubos na ang meds and malayo pa ang next appointment or walang malapit na pharmacy mapagkunan ng meds nila. There were times na maiiyak Ka nalang din reading their bio's and reason why they needed help. Iba-iba reason. May iba na genetically ganun talaga while others were discovered during pandemic and may iba environmental factors din lang like stressful jobs, toxic circle, family issues, broken relationships, death of loved ones, etc. It feels good to be able to help them find the right mental health practitioners kasi iba2 yan sila ng practice and specialization. Honestly, it’s very easy to say that we should focus more on our mental health and seek professional treatment/advice. Pero truth be told, sobrang f*ucked up ng health care system in our country and most of the people who can seek professional help are those people who can afford it. Naiiwan yung mga nasa laylayan. It’s so difficult to deal with mental health issues if you can’t even afford to seek professional help. This is our sad reality. Like me, I’ve been wanting to seek professional help for so long now pero hindi kaya ng budget. Kaya idadaan na lang sa kapit and pananalig ✊🏻 Sometimes kasi, it’s not really about the stigma that hinders the person from seeking professional help. Most of the time they just don’t have the means.

Finally got the urge to watch this specific vlog of yours because the title says ADHD and I also feel like I have it too, but I am not yet capable of consulting with a professional because I'm still a teenager(no source of income) and my family doesn't really give importance/big deal about mental health because we are born again Christian that's why they use it as an 'excuse' for me to not consult on any doctor unless it's bothering me/the problen was visible.. I also think (based on research) that my fam also has mental disorder (bipolar disorder), but I'm not exactly sure because I'm not a medical professional. I just hope everyone is capable of having someone to talk to that can understand them and make them feel loved. Anyways, I just have to strengthen my faith and get my strength from God, because no one will ever understand me fully, right? Just wanna shareeee!
