Overheat, charge this to experience. then moving on, it's better to check basic car stuff before you go. 1. Do not turn on your engine yet and check your radiator if the coolant is still present. 2. Check your coolant reservoir (coolant tank) 3. Check breaks if it's biting. 4. Check your tire pressure, check if you have a tire that needs to inflate. 5. check your engine oil (there is a deep stick where you can see the level of oil) if everything is good, you can start your car and have it heated for just 5mins before you go.

Hey... great video and what an unwanted excitement. This has been posted a month ago and at the end of your video your boyfriend or friend thinks it is the water reservoir. Hmmm... Yeah, the plastic container reservoir does crack or fail over time. But I believe the pressure cooker that your friend is referring to, was your radiator. A radiator is the key component of the engine's cooling system. Its main role is to disperse a mix of antifreeze and water throughout its fins, which releases some of the engine's heat while taking in cool air before continuing to pass the rest of the engine. So given that, it regulates the temperature of your car engine. The engine overheats due to the moving pistons to generate the power to get your car running. Depending on how well your car control is, it should have shut down the engine when your radiator reached a certain temperature to protect your engine. Hopefully, your engine is still working. You have nice car, and if I am not mistaken, it is a Miata? Good luck.

You must be driving your car for quite sometime without anti-freeze. When the engine overheats, you’ll lose power and it will just stop. If you hear the engine knocking, then you’ll definitely need to rebuild or a new engine swap. What you should do when this happens again is stop your car, let it cool down then add an anti-freeze coolant or water. It should start right back and check for leaks. See if there’s oil mixed in your coolant, if there’s oil, it means your cylinder block has cracks somewhere. Next time, don’t think about whether the towing is free or not. You were parked on the side of the freeway which is very dangerous. You cannot put a price on your own safety. God bless.

just had same situation like yours about 2 weeks ago due to overheat which all radiator fluids have gone and aux fan may be a factor of the "overheating". Very unusual for the coolant reservoir to crack with only 77,000 mi. On the car. Maybe if the car was sitting outside down here in Vegas. Unfortunately when most modern cars overheat even just one time. The aluminum heads get warped and the engine needs to be replaced. Best bet is to see if someone can swap it with a used engine.😢

Hi Ella, if your car coolant got drained, please have your engine checked by expert. coz it might got affected. If your engine was kind of steaming, it probably went over heat since the coolant got drained. That's probably the reason why the cop said your engine is bad. Because if the problem is with your engine now, it won't easy repair and it would mean lot of money. You know, in car, one problem would result to another. I am a girl but i know a lot of car things because i worked in a car dealership service department. I hope you read this comment.

Make sure you check your fluids and oil every day before you start your car. You don't want anything exploding on you. Also keep your face away when opening caps. If you were running on low coolant for a long time it can mess up your car. Doesn't seem like that is the case with the engine. Our car overheated also. It was just low on coolant couldn't figure out why for awhile lol Check the simple stuff first, they say. Hope everything is okay with your car now

If you smell something burning in your car good chance you oil is low and no oil pressure battery cells should be checked for water in every battery cells used distilled water for the battery not regular tap water check the dip stick for oil there is measuring on the dip stick tell you how many quarts of oil you need etc
