What you guys were talking anout at the 27-28 & 33 minute mark about “high life” is exactly how the gringos will ruin Colombia. When in line at Cartagena airport customs, I asked folks about that visit and how they were expecting to pay for things.🤦🏼‍♂️ I had to educate them to keep them from ruining it for us. They planned on paying like $5 for a 2minute taxi ride that I would pay 8000pesos… less than $2. Taught them what things cost, what to expect to pay, etc… productive use of customs/immigration lines.

it's not a joke at all. if you are a guy that has never traveled internationally and you are getting what you think are good results locally... how do you tell whether it's actually good? the example I use is us men are born into a radioactive swamp where the water is neon green... yes some areas are less radioactive and less green and more clear.. but unless we leave the swamp, we will never discover that there's crystal clear blue ocean waters that we should be comparing to!

Im 61 , and just got back from 3 weeks in Columbia . I did move around a lot . Start studying Spanish . Its not as easy as people make it out to be . Most women there speak little English . The food is great for the money though !

Not really, travel becomes cheap when averaged over time with extended stays and/or flying during off-peak months and planning ahead to book early enough
