One of my grandfathers died when my dad was only 14, and the other when I was 3, and both of my grandmothers live across the country so I rarely get to see them. This interview is amazing, the wisdom and even the different words he uses are incredible to hear, and it makes me upset knowing I will never have someone to tell me such stories. However, I am very proud of my grandfathers as they both were incredibly hard working men and raised my parents to the best of their abilities for which I could never repay them.

I believe there are still similarities between generations. I had the same story basically. In middle and high school you rode the same bus home where I went. Also the alternative school (for the bad kids)... Well I was in middle school and this guy was high school age but went to the alternative school. He has these little dolls (don't know where they came from) that he'd throw at me. Cause he sat in the back while I was more upfront/middle. He kept doing it day in and and day out. Throwing them at my head. One day I snapped and had enough of it. Whether you're religious or not it doesn't matter, but I believe it was the hand of God. I took that doll and threw it as hard as I could back at him. I ended up giving him a black eye. That principal told me "you're better than that to be messing with him". His name was buzz (or that's what they'd call him). Our punishment was that we both sat in the front of the bus the rest of the year. My dad didn't say anything to me, and after that he stopped messing with me.
