Hi mate. This is actually one of the 1st videos I watched. Since then I've watched all your videos. 90% over the last 2 days. I binge watched. Now what do I do 😄 I've just watched your last 3 year's in 2 days and its been amazing. I'm a fan. What an awesome, impressionable fella you are. I've laughed out loud many times. I went travelling after a break-up years ago. Met the love of my life a few years later. Went to the Swiss Alps as it happens. Amazing video by the way. Scottish, so I've been all up there. Now in Portsmouth. Congratulations on the success of the channel. You've come a long way from an empty Kangoo. I hope you keep making these videos. Hi buddy. One fee simple bit of advice to remember for next time you’re having a bad time, or a good time for that matter. You will never find happiness externally. Things, possessions, friends even the love of your life will not bring you happiness. To find it you simply look within. Until you can find happiness, acceptance, contentment and joy within you, you will have ups and downs. Once you find it inside yourself, every day will be as happy as the one before and the next will be.

Nice to see fellow van dwellers. I been in my van 3 yrs now too. U gotta be a special type of person to do this. It's the simple things, getting out in nature, saving money, not being trapped in work and free to roam that drew me to this. It's helped my mental state so much and I'm a totally new person and I feel like I'm in control of my own life.

Personally, I don't see a problem with someone living in a van, so long as there is a job, and I'm not having to support him. That said, I'm to old for you, but I believe the right girl won't mind the van... Maybe she will have a van of her own! Good luck, have fun!

This is what I try to do every summer: rent a van, put a matress in it and go exploring. I did it last year and I did Scotland in a car too. Best trip ever. I will try to go France for a couple of weeks next summer. And you're so right... Having a sidekick would be great. I'm looking for an adventurous woman too. Nice to see you out there still enjoying the van life. I first commented one of your posts back in September when I bought my peugeot tepee. It will finally be converted next month so trip down from Scotland to Midlands. Time flies. Yes you are right, we don't know what is round the corner. This year will be 4 years after losing my 1st partner and a year after losing my 2nd partner. Not easy at times but I push myself forward. I have campsites booked for beginning of May as a treat for my birthday. I will walk up 4 Northern munros so cannot wait. I would like to explore more this year and it would be great to share it with someone enthusiastic as me. My broken heart is healing and it needs time. I am grateful that I live in Scotland. Mountains round the corner, magic sunrises on the top of a hill, lochs, even just a simple road trip, peace and quiet, well apart of the midges 🤣 Happy travels and stay safe

Youll get a lot of judgement of course when dating but remember what you're doing takes balls. You're doing what makes you happy and playing by your own rules which the majority of people never manage at any age. There's good women out there who will judge you on your character and not on where you live. If anything, living in a van will help you avoid superficial people who are looking for money/status/social approval and help you find someone who loves you for your courage and strength of character.

Mate you hit the nail on the head, the van is the perfect way to filter out bad options. There's nothing wrong if a girl doesn’t want a man in a van, they are entitled to their preference, but if a girl is accepting of the van from the start then there may be great potential! 😃

I did a similar thing, lived in a van, in fact I still do while I'm at work. But I bought a derelict bungalow up in Lincolnshire, I lived in my van while I renovated it. Now I have a place to store some stuff and fix my van when it breaks down! I would recommend getting a place or some land, you are in the unique position where you can live cheaply and save money to buy a place fairly quickly compared to most. Nice video!

I saved much money over around 5 years and now live in my first mortgaged property (Reading, Berkshire) which is and has been amazing BUT i have neglected travel and seeing the world in that time and i plan to make up those losses in the future. If it weren't for friends and my daughter god knows what would have happened to me and my dogs. I think putting something in place for the unforseen is vital for vanners. Good idea doing the recap of the last 3 years and it shows just how quickly they have passed by. A few down periods but mainly fun adventures. Hopefully the events unfolding for all of us, won't affect you as much doing things away from crowds and all of the stinking bills, that those with homes have to pay. No fault evictions are rife as landlords sell up and I now await the court order and bailiffs. 100's being made homeless each week here and it looks like car life for me soon, as renting anywhere else is way too expensive. It's all unfolding as we suspected it would. I will need to find a Pug Palace or a Kangoo soon.🙂

Just found your channel a few days ago and I actually went back and have watched every video in order, really enjoyed them. I do find your attitude to life a bit refreshing, especially the tough stuff. I'm part way through converting a campervan, and it's taken me a year so far, no end in sight. I've used all my holidays up this year, every single one, just working on the van. For some reason it seems to take me 10x as long as anyone else. Getting there though. I started it because my partner of 12 years and I used to camp a lot, but her health is declining rapidly and now can't walk without a stick, so the plan was to convert it over last winter and be able to go on adventures again this year. Well that's not happened, we've slept in it 3 times so far. Should be done for next year though!

I enjoyed watching your videos don’t worry about things, girls & whatever else just focus on yourself look within yourself for happiness & enjoy your solitude doing the things you enjoy doing because nobody else can make you happy except yourself but they can make you feel down being a solo van lifer is great because you don’t have anyone to argue with or worry about them dumping you etc I suggest you adopt a fur baby to travel with I live in my van with my cat 🐈‍⬛ she loves being in the van with me she’s so funny & affectionate pets make great companions & are loyal friends enjoy safe travels

I normally park in plain view, just wait for it to be dark, and get in the back, my van looks like a work van, so I don't think anyone actually thinks anyone is in it. And then just leave nice and early in the morning. 👍✌️

I would love to do van living. But in my country it is so expensive to own a car (roughly £10,000 a year) due to parking costs, road tolls and road taxes. Which is more than my yearly rent.

Just wonder if you've ever put a profile up on a dating site looking for a like-minded girl? Hope its not too much of a personal question but I figure you're an upfront kinda guy 🙂. If I did van life id save 450 rent 100 council tax. 30 quid water . 150 in energy bills a month. No brainer really it's taking the first step that's the hardest. The little pots of money would grow quickly.

I moved to the UK in 2019 and got 2 jobs online developing code for a game maker and a content creator, between both and working 80 hours a week from home I earned an after-tax 1,000 a week, and my wife worked full time and paid our living cost 100% for 4 years, because last month we moved into the house I bought for us in cash 195k, still have about 7k in the bank, learn to code on my own, learn how to score the jobs on my own. Couples working together can do anything they set their minds on without settling for owning a van, not a home.3 weeks ago I quit both jobs and am about to open my dream thing, a food truck and food content, and do some traveling at food events across the UK, I am from Florida, and my wife is British. Living in a van is not an accomplishment, doing what we did in a pandemic/war/UK failed Brexit environment with no prior savings, I showed up in the UK with an engagement ring and a plan.
