Praise God sister, I'm so glad I found your channel. Not enough Christian vanlifers, I've been stationary in Toledo Ohio and Fayetteville North Carolina. I'm hoping to be full-time on the road in the spring, praying for you. Love ya sis

I love my Walmart parking lot. I feel safe. It's got the planet Fitness, Dollar 25 Tree, a gas station and several restaurants right there. And I like that the actual parking lot is full of big trees for shade! There's vanlifers, carlifers, box truck dwellers and every now and then we see buses! No one bothers you and we all kind of keep our distances! Been full time since May and I am enjoying every bit of it!

Oh yes! Please listen to your body. After my hysterectomy I felt better by 6-8 weeks but it really does take about a year for your body to completely heal. Prayers for you as travel and go forward on your recovery and journey! 🙂

Allison, I know what you mean. I had a 20 year umbilical hernia repaired in Virginia. When I awoke I just wanted to praise God. I came through Barstow two days ago heading East back to Illinois...I didn't see you. So close, and yet so far away 😄. Glad to see you on the road again. Stay Beautiful, hilarious, and safe.

From the few times I’ve seen your dad, he seems like a good “daddy” who was and still continues to be there for you. I didn’t catch many videos of your mama but from what you’ve shared, they both obviously are wonderful parents. Our fathers really show us who God is. I didn’t have this and my relationship with God as my father has been tough. But I’m getting there. You are blessed!

Yes our Lord Saviour is with you and that is fantastic. But you share him in your life and that blesses all of us. Welcome back and yes you take it easy till your motion energy is back. It is the surgery but also the physical rest that has caused your tiredness and you have to work harder to get your full energy back. You are so lucky with your beautiful parents and the rest you have had. I only had 4 days rest as was looking after my MS ex husband and step daughter (driving to school) washing sheets etc. His parents were aholes so no support. But you get there. God blessed me with courage, strength and speedy recovery. You will be great we all prayed for you. You are still in my nightly prayers.

So happy to see you on the road again. What is there that is so appealing about watching you enjoy junk food? Well, we love it so I hope you keep posting it. You are in CA, thinking about going to the East Coast...why not the Northwest. Pretty mild weather, no hurricanes, no poisonous snakes, plenty of water, etc...also pretty good job opportunities for remote work. Just a thought...

I had a double mastectomy and chemo through most of 2019. It wasn’t fun, but I plowed through in good spirits, and pooh-poohed everyone telling me how much recovery I still had ahead. Fast forward to 2022, when I’m still fatigued, still suffer shortness of breath (heart damage from one medication), and just generally am still bouncing back. I just questioned my oncologist last week, “But thiiis long?” and she said that in her experience it does take years for most women.

I can't wait to get back 'on the road again' too! Another month and a bit at our cabin in the Yukon, then home for Christmas with the family, then off we go!! We have never had a 'bad' Walmart experience and we've stayed at A LOT! It's usually our first choice in a town we are passing through. A one stop shop! Now, I'm going to make poutine for dinner -Thanks! Here at the cabin I use potatoes we grew and dehydrated. I rehydrate them, fry them and then cover them in grated mozzarella cheese and poutine gravy, (which you can buy in cans or dry packages here in Canada at Walmart!). It's our version we call 'cabin poutine'. Delish! Take care, Allison!

When I hired on as a travelling salesman with a tight schedule to keep, I often experienced some difficulties from eating on the move while driving. Concentrating on other activities while at the controls of a moving vehicle is, as described to me by a traffic patrol officer, near about as dangerous as juggling three sticks of dynamite with the touch papers lit. From there on in, I stopped the car at a town café ate a sandwich lunch and coffee a $5.00 claimable expense, used the rest room, then feeling more refreshed, hit the road again. In my country, vehicle insurance policies invariably include in the case of a collision and if it can be proved by police in evidence at a traffic court prosecution that any action by a driver say, like reaching out to grab a sandwich from a paper bag that by nessessity of that action caused a driver to be distracted from driving safely and so caused a collision, and if the police prosecution was successful the offending drive will be fined a big chunk of change. If a collision resulted in a death caused by the offending driver, then they can expect to pay court ordered reparations-restorative justice, to the victims family and that is in addition to the often financially crippling fine the government takes in addition to costs the government pays to mount the prosecution. Charged with being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle, this can even mean having possession of the car keys even if lying out on the back seat in the vain attempt of regaining sobriety,.means that in those circumstances a suspected offender can also be deemed as being in charge of a motor vehicle. But the punishment continues often affecting employment and family and loss of a driving licence for a minimum of usually six months. Recidivism can result in a life time driving ban. I can't be certain, but I think all of that is very similar to existing traffic laws in the US.

Make your own pokey bowl . Instant pot rice , bag schredded carrots , green onions , tuna or baby shrimp , corn and freeze the left over from cans in freezer . Then add mayo with sriracha sauce lemon from plastic lemon thingy . I add cucumber . Make enough for days , you can freeze it all except rice and cucumbers . Way cheaper . Well I hope I helped instead of giving you a stresser hugs let me no if I can video the next time I make a bowl . Oh my I forgot my secret item garlic and bean sprouts . All this I get from Walmart . One day I will try adding an apple . K hugs

I was curious about the Barstow Del Taco so I looked it up - Technically, this is not the first Del Taco. The first Del Taco opened in Yermo several years earlier than the First Ave. version in Barstow. Because the first closed, this is the oldest remaining and is referred to by corporate as Del Taco #1.
