Moved to Acworth from NY in March and my neighborhood is a mix of folks. I love it so far to be honest and everyone is well mannered in the area. Im on the Paulding Co. side.

We moved here to the Cherokee side of Acworth near Woodstock from Palm Beach County, FL in 2006 t escape the hurricanes, high cost of living, and overcrowding there. We quickly found it to be very friendly and have our own little 2 acres of paradise in an older home. They are building new homes all around us, new school and everything so the property values are increasing fast. Our own little neighborhood is still very private and quiet though and very close to I-75 which is convenient too. Thanks for showcasing our lovely community and great video!

Glad you are enjoying your home. We live near 75 as well, don't worry, if they can build something in your backyard, they will. If you live East of downtown, the city doesn't give a damn about you.

Just found this video so thank you for this information p. My family and I are in the process of moving to Acworth. We will be in the unincorporated area so we are in Paulding Co. side.

Thanks for sharing Acworth! I moved here in 2015 from Los Angeles. I wanted small town, diverse living where I could really get involved in community living. I love Acworth. Don't necessarily like all the HOA properties, really wasn't used to anyone telling me what I could or couldn't do with my property, but used to it now. Joined the HOA board so I could learn the ins and outs. Come and stay a while.

Thank you for this! Moving down soon and trying to decide between acworth, Marietta, canton or winder. Would love to be outside of the city but with amenities still around. This is very helpful! I appreciate you.

@@janillrodriguez8030 hi! We are closing on the 24th of this month 👏 it was a process.. lol. We landed in Carrollton- west side of ATL and we are thrilled. The little area is so cute- it’s a small college town with an adorable square, great eatery’s and a lot of local love. Do you have an area in mind?

@@bigrod997 At least in some towns/cities, the government actually cares about it's residents. Acworth doesn't. They care about the downtown, which is pretty much useless unless you are a tourist.

My family and I moved to Acworth Ga back in 2005. Great schools Fords, Durham and Harrison Hs for our kids. But have been concerned with the growth and plowing down trees for more and more construction. Just makes me sad what they call progress…

Is there any racism in Acworth? I'm considering moving to a suburban city near Atlanta

I’ve never experienced any problems there but that’s my experience. I’d say visit if you’re on the fence about it. I really like Acworth.
