Hello beautiful people!
In this video, I talk about why I and my family decided to relocate from Nigeria to Australia, how migrating changed my life, what the experience has been after 4 years, and my struggles as a woman of colour living in Australia.
I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed sharing! Don't forget to smash that like button, subscribe and leave your comments. I love reading from you all.
Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,and he will make your paths straight.
Love,
Abisola

Sooo insightful. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait for the next part which touches a very important subject. Especially if you have to transition from white collar/ business owner 'status' to blue collar. Well done superwoman 😉👍

I appreciate the experience you shared. I loved the bit where you said, that your husband leads and you follow. Indeed when God is the foundation anything is possible. May God continually bless your family.

So first of, you are so beautiful Bisola!!! And your hair, absolutely stunning 😍😍😍 I need your hair plug please 🥺. To the business that brought me here, lol OMG. I honestly felt like you were talking about my experience in Canada (well, except for the "warm winter" bit there 😭). Thankfully, our bodies are built to acclimatize to environmental conditions we thought we couldn't have survived. A few things. People underestimate the power of involving God in their decisions and choices, especially on matters as important as immigration. Committing the process into God's hands as a couple, months before we officially began the process, is something I will forever be grateful of . Everything just seemed to easily fall into place from there on. Personally, moving to a system that works and also not having that Naija support system at your beck and call definitely messes one's mind and makes you question so many things 😩😭. A big part for me is how religion is practiced in Nigeria, especially by the big churches. Maybe one day I will have answers, and maybe not. And maybe this is just a phase for my husband and I, but anyway... The system just works here, and over 3 years later I see why it can be easy for people to just walk out on their beliefs. Thankful for a somewhat strong religious foundation that I can always fall back on when my brain seems to be clouded. And yes, there are bad people everywhere too. You just have to decide which bad has a better chance of giving you and your family the opportunity at a better quality of life. 😭 (hopefully this makes sense). Thank you for sharing your experiences, I am now definitely looking forward to the "dignity of labour" video.

Awwh, thank you so much Tola! I appreciate you. You've definitely hit the nail on the head there! Yes, I intend to be very open with these conversations as I know many other immigrants struggle! Please be on the lookout for the next video. Thanks for watching 🥰🥰

The reason they asked you to repeat yourself is because some african accents are actually difficult for us to understand. Not because we're being rude. We don't hear african accents very often in our day to day lives. The reason they understand you easily now is probably because your accent has changed, even if you havent realised it. Happy to hear you've found a community here

Our culture was born from the horror of englands class system. So we didnt care about it so much. Rich and poor can have a beer. Cant do that in many countries. We are all true blue if born here. Still have to deal with difficult people every so often. Haha

Faith, believing things without evidence. Investigate the bible and how it was made to realise how man made it is.
@spiritinmotion1327
@spiritinmotion1327 Жыл бұрын
Faith is not believing things without evidence, its believing or agreeing with God's word based on your inner consciousness of him and revelation of his person to you. My wife has such close relationship with God she sometimes sees things and can describe them vividly before they happen. I believe in science but much more in God and both beliefs are not contrary to each other(ignorant men on both sides of the belief did that). Science is yet to explain individual consciousness to us - the beginning and the absence of it.
