I've visited Argentina twice (from Australia) and the experience was unforgetable. The people are great ,plenty to do and their meat preparatjon is to die for. The Patagonia and Mendoza are memorable as the scenery is magnificent. I stayed in the Recoleta which is so central and not far from where Eva Peron is buried and some of the buildings are hundreds of year old and to be admired. Yes, I would back.

Buenos Aires is one of the most beautiful and convenient Cities to live, Cultural capital of latinamerica. The problem with this video is that the Lady was taking interviews from NON argentinian girls (the lady interviwed at the Havanna Alfajor shop is venezuelan) and other southamerican boys interviwed in this video, because she ignored that Argentina is full of southamerican foreigners who decided to live there to have a better chance of Life´s quality, knowing very well that Argentina is a unique place in he whole Latin America, regarding its high cultural, social and economical level, 100% different than the rest of southamenrican Countries. 88% of the real argentine population is european descendant. I don't know if you are gonna go back to Argentina again, but the places you showed and the people in those places isn't the real Argentina. Those people live in a bubble, polo games and those fancy places is only for a small group of the society down there. The real Argentina is totally different, I believe you haven't seen the other side of Argentina yourself. It's completely different. I would say, it's better. I understand you try to aim your videos to a certain group of people, but I believe they should see the other side as well, the authentic Argentina. It's more fun, more diverse, and also much cheaper. I was born in Argentina but I'm also a U.S. citizen living in Texas. I'm hoping to go back to Argentina this year to visit family.

I've always wondered what digital nomads actually do. I hear that term all the time, but those "nomads" never really say what they do. I am a software developer, and my US company only allowed us to work remotely one day each week. Then, the pandemic hit, and we have been sheltering in our homes working remote for 10 months now. What my company and other companies have figured out, is that lots of people suffer from "not having the ability to turn off" and now I seem to work 12+ hours a day. Our workforce is actually more productive than we were in the office, and I think post covid, the attitudes for remote work are going to drastically shift in the US, and that is how I came to find your video. I am looking for places outside of the US that are compatible with the Central and Eastern time zones. This city has always been on my bucket list to visit. Great video. I hope to be a "digital nomad" in the very near future.

Hmm, regarding the pros and cons: High internet speed is only possible if you stay in certain neighbourhoods where a company called Iplan offers these kind of speeds. For the regular population you would probably expect to have 25 / 50 mb, non simmetrical (upload speed of 3 or 4 mb, which for uploading videos is kind of a bummer) 2) Cultural events are really good, as a local I should try these more often :p I always think that if you're an expat and you come here earning in US dollars, you're an absolute king. Unfortunately, 70~80% of the population really struggle to make a living and live decently, and the perspective in the near future (less than 4 years) is kind of shady. I can understand the point of view of a foreigner who comes here and they notice that everything is really affordable, but for locals life is getting more and more difficult. There's a common say, "leave Argentina for 20 days and you'll notice that everything changed, but leave it for 20 years and you'll notice that nothing has changed"
@TravelingwithKristin4 жыл бұрын

Honestly it's like that in most places outside of the US and Western Europe. To this day many Canadian places have garbage internet. I can only get a max of 75mb/s in my house but my providers only offer 50 and I live in a major city. 50 is far more than anyone actually needs unless you pirate movies or something.

Buenos Aires is so underrated! Everything about the city is great, especially the food, drink, and culture. I was there 2 years ago and the dollar was 17 pesos. Now it's 40 pesos? She mentioned the Palermo neighborhood, and if you stay there,you will be surrounded by restaurants, bars, and fantastic nightlife. It can be loud on weekends, but you will be happy, and you will also be close to the outlet center, and lots of stores for sporting goods. What she didn't mention is that you can hop on a ferry and go to Montevideo or Colonia in Uruguay for a quick getaway. They also have good food, and if you need a stamp in your passport, they do that too!

Well as an Argentinean, you stayed at puerto madero neighborhood and it's the most expensive places and far places where is quiet difficult to travel to the city from there if you haven't your own car. The best neighborhood I guess it's Palermo not because i live here but you can go everywhere from here in bus, and subway (underground). And Also you have a lot of restaurants, shops, bars, nightclubs, it isn't dangerous, and you can walk for the street during all day and night. It's very cheap for foreiners not for argentinean, Palermo is a huge neighbordhood and it's quite expensive to live here. But I'm in love of this place since i've got 4 years. I hope you enjoyed your visit.

Hi! I live in Buenos Aires. Nice vid. I'd like to point out that very few people actually dance Tango, which can be seen many times in the video. Foreigners are told that it's common here, but that's not really true. Also, in my opinion there're a lot of Argentinians who speak english in a B2 level. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay!

I am now working as an English teacher after getting stranded outside of the US during the virus. I am considering continuing to teach, but explore other countries where the US dollar would go far. I have had interest in Argentina especially in the colder region. BTW you have been doing this for 17 years? Did you start when you were 5 years old?
@TravelingwithKristin3 жыл бұрын
I started when I was 20! Lived abroad for a year and never looked back... (or came back). Sorry you are stranded but hopefully you can move around soon! Unfortunately Argentina is still closed but you could come to Central America if you'd like? Colombia is also open: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYDaf6iaicqngNU as are Mexico and Costa Rica
@joninwm3 жыл бұрын
@@TravelingwithKristin Not sure about the Central American Countries, I have some concern about the Cartels and crime. I am sure there are nice places, but from what a friend from Colombia told me was to not risk getting kidnapped for ransom or robbed and murdered. I like keeping all my parts in one piece and stab-free. Lol

Tip: bring dollar bills, and avoid using the credit card, you can sell your money in 20-30%(dolar blue) more than if you use it on atm. You can travel to uruguay(colonia or montevideo) use an atm... And back to bs as. Sound scary, but is easy. Because, argentinians only can buy 200 u$s per month from banks/gov... So most of the people wanna buy it. The price of dolar blue is on the any media paper.
