Desoto, cedar hill, and Lancaster are predominantly black suburbs in Dallas. So if you are black and want to live in successful communities around other successful black people come on to Texas. We welcome you.

I saw cedar hill has more nature, hiking etc, is that pretty accurate? Also, do you know which of these communities is more family/small kids friendly?

@mariola1654 in my opinion they all are family friendly. They all have middle class to wealthy neighborhoods. Lancaster is a lil country but black and cedarhill would probably be the most outdoorsy. There's a state park and lake.

You should do an updated visit of DeSoto. They have some new large master planned communities now. Check out Tree Farms and Daniel Farms community in Desoto.

Desoto is predominantly black, so to gentrify it, you have to bring in different race, like Asians, whites, Indian, Mexican etc. Can't add more black people because it will never be gentrified. But it can still have a higher percentage of blacks more Than any other percentage of race in the area
