Looks more like Capitol Hill, rather than actual Downtown. I lived in that neighborhood as a child, and I still live in Denver. That apartment ran for around $250 in the 90's.

@@Maddie-fk2tx For "regular people", no. That includes teachers, police officers, wait staff childcare workers, hospitality industry, etc. All generally need roommate(s), in order to rent or own in Denver. For those who make $100K+ annually, yes.

@@Maddie-fk2tx yeah as long as you make at least $30,000 a year and you’re willing to give up most basic living expenses such as a car or health insurance it’s pretty affordable I’ve lived here since I was 17 years old moved out on my own with no idea what I was going to do you’re gonna have to make some really fucked up choices but it’s not impossible to do!

If you are actually in 80202, you must be where all the unhoused live, and/or using rent assistance, low income tax credit apartments (minimizes cost of rent I'd you can't afford). I've lived downtown for years and paid between $2,300 and $3,000 for a 1 bedroom.

I live in Denver a notice of Denver and that’s amazing that you found the affordability in this city. I remember the days when studios were 375 and 1 bedroom were 700. Have you been to the goodwill on Broadway and 1st. It’s a cool store with a creaky floor and the bldg is like 80 years old. Good video. I love Capitol hilll and would buy a house there if they weren’t so damn expensive. Did you upgrade your tv yet? Lol

It’s in Capitol Hill. When I made this video I really didn’t know anything about Denver and figured it was downtown because it was like a 10 mins walk from the capital building- but technically it’s a separate area. People say it’s sketchy but I felt nothing but good vibes and made friends with my homeless neighbors lol Really enjoyed my time here :)

This not the heart of downtown, I actually live there. you would see high rises if you were downtown. Heart is between California and larimer, between 14th and 17th st. You way outside of downtown. People be fake flexing 🤦♂️

Honestly, people think that’s a good price but it’s really not. Downtown Denver is the worst. I used to live in California, it’s like living in any major city. Drugs, homeless, dirty streets. It did not capture anything about what it’s like to live here

@@kalel33 Well, to each their own. Based on the outdoor vid content it's in Cap HIll. I bought a modest condo there 8 months and love the area. This vid, which I enjoyed BTW, was released almost a year ago. I'm not sure one can rent anything in Cap Hill for $950 PM now. The area is relatively safe, diverse with a modest bias toward the young, and is vibrant with some of, if not the best architecture in the DMA if you're into that sort of thing as I am. IMHO it's also one of the most walkable areas in the DMA. Given Cap Hill's location and amenities (shops, restaurants, gyms, etc) I don't own a car as everything I need is in walking distance (including the awesome Cheesman Park).
