Tbh we usually say “Gents” or “Ladies” if we’re at a pub or restaurant.

Glad you liked the UK. I live in Cambridge and love going to Taiwan and meeting my colleagues there in Hsinchu. They are so nice, even sent me loads of masks for these times.

The bathroom is where the bath is, the rest room is where you rest, the dining room is where you dine, the bedroom is where the bed is, the toilet is where the toilet is, the living room is where you 'live'.

A rest room does not have a bath or toilet in it,a bathroom has a bath and a toilet in it.

We don't call French fries chips. French fries and chips are two different things. French fries are thinner and fried twice at different temperatures. Chips are thicker and only fried once. To look at what Americans call steak fries.

I think in many European countries the word for restroom/bathroom is toilet or the equivalent. Certainly in Germany and Netherlands.

Cheers mate is more common in London and the south of England. In other parts of the country people often say things like "ta" instead of "cheers", and "pal" instead of "mate".

As an Englishman I love a bowl of custard with just more custard. Ambrosia custard - yum, yum. In fact I had a bowl for breakfast just the other day. Delightful.

We do not eat cheesecake with CUSTARD. We do not have gravy with everything and we don't have custard with everything. I do not say cheers or mate. You are generalising. I do not call dinner 'tea'. Some people do. It is more of a working class THING.

Cheesecake with custard? Gravy with everything? I have no idea where you got these bizarre ideas from. I’m afraid you have contrived to form some very odd views about food!
