Someday Maybe by Onyi Nwabineli is a fiction by a Nigerian author. Without giving too much away, it’s about a woman in her 30’s that loses her husband and we journey with her through her grief. I feel like it’s a book you’d enjoy.

I'll recommend Accused by Mark Gimenez. I believe you'll love it as well and Sycamore Row by John Grisham Apart from Chinua Achebe and Chimamanda I haven't tried out other Nigerian authors😂.. I'll definitely try them out and maybe fall in love with them

You're right! I find it so hard to read books that aren't set in Africa. I just can't relate. I'd recommend you read "The Death of Vivek Oji" by Akwaeke Emezi. I literally finished that book in a day.

I relate to this Nigerian authors thingy, I started reading Nigerian fiction in 2021 and I could totally relate, when I tried reading foreign books it was a drag. However, I really liked seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I didn’t drop it until I finished. Another book I enjoyed was This close to okay by Leesa cross smith , it’s a really interesting book if you like sad books
