Vegas is a great place for old people with money. I would definitely say it's not for families with kids. If you plan on moving here and have kids be prepared to have them on Vitamin D supplements. You can't have them play outside for the summer in 100⁰+ heat. Also Vegas ranks close to last in the United States in education so be ready to be a heavily involved parent so you can get them in the proper school like a magnet/charter or start Networking so when your kids are ready to work you can have a connection to get them hired in a good paying Casino. To each their ow, I'vee been living here for almost 20 years now and have a young family, and most places we go to are indoors 😢. Main places to go with them are Parks, museums, and grocery shopping. 😅

Vegas is doing better with catering to kids. I don't know if you are aware we just got approved for the first stand alone children's hospital. I first moved to Vegas in September of 2002 & I can say for sure that how it is there now compared to 22 years ago is damn near night & day to the good. The 215 was still under construction so pretty much nothing over on that side of town even existed back then. The Cannery had just been built, the Wynn I think was either under construction or maybe they had just broke ground for it. Old casino's such as The Frontier & Stardust were still on the strip and operating. There also used to be a pretty bomb ass NASCAR cafe at The Sahara on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd & Sahara but I think ownership of the property changed and it went through an extensive re-modeling into what you see today. South Point Casino did not exist back then, matter of fact once you passed the Mandalay Bay heading south on 15, that was it until you got to Primm & in Primm that large thrift building or what-ever it is now where you can buy lottery tickets, that used to be a thriving Outlet Mall with lots of name brand stores, I think it closed for good during COVID. Also, there was absolutely no talk of Las Vegas ever getting a professional franchise of any kind. Fast forward 22 years later and now the city has what 3 pro teams & a 4rth on the way, Formula 1 races there now, more resort properties being built to replace old ones, Vegas is gonna continue to boom for the next at least 5 more years before things start to slow down and level off...

The underrated thing about living in Las Vegas or Nevada in general is the political side. It’s almost practically split down the middle between right and left and the people for years have grown to live with it so the locals are just naturally unbiased. In other words you can get along with anyone even if you aren’t the same race, or have the same beliefs. Just like the city’s changing skyline and destruction and reconstruction of new buildings I think it really defines the locals too, people are always changing and aren’t stuck on one thing for too long so long as it benefits their goals in life. I’m saying it as someone who was raised in vegas.
@CB.LasVegas14 күн бұрын
It’s a great perspective to have as a local. I think the way the city is changing has good and bad. Good because change is a good thing but bad because it may be happening a bit fast. "out of control" can be mean different things to different people. i'm from nyc, thinking of moving to vegas. here in nyc burbs (wealthy areas), people are getting followed from shopping or eating out and then getting car jacked in their driveways. Lots of home invasions. Random drive by gun point robberies on the street waling the dog. Migrants on scooters terrorizing nice neighborhoods. Again, this is in the burbs. It gets worse in the city. It's great that youre mentioning all the great things coming to Vegas such as Sports, attractions, entertainment industries and etc... But housing remains one of the reason why Vegas will not be a good ideal choice to live. Cost of living in Vegas is not the same as it was before, since the trends and the bandwagoning of all the Californians flocking over to Vegas, and the pandemic, how can you expect the middle class to afford a decent home with their salary, unless you're from California and sold your house with tons of equity and take that cash and dump it over to a house in Vegas, or you're fortunate that you have rich parents that can help with the purchase price, I don't see how this would make Vegas more enticing to live. With a huge influx of population and fast development growth it will actually do more damages than good as it will drive the price of everything up. I get that in the video that you're trying to glazed and hyped up all the good things that's coming to vegas such as all the great fun attractions, and entertainment but that will only make everything more expensive and unaffordable for the folks that are already in Vegas. Im not against economic growth, but too much growth will cause damage. Take a look at Austin Texas for example... years and years ago, Austin wasn't even close to where it is now, but since all the big tech companies have relocated to Austin and opening up new headquarters and offices, and Elon moving and relocating his companies to Austin, taking all of the high paying employees that's making over 6 figures with 200k stock options to Austin who are pricing out all of the local residence in the area because they have such a high purchasing power with their salary. Sooner or later Vegas will become and just expensive as LA and it will practically be another LA, and then we have to find a new city to tryna and hype it up and get people to move to.
@CB.LasVegas27 күн бұрын
i agree with your thoughts! I think the housing market in Las Vegas is reflective of the high volume of relocations we are seeing. This is part because of the affordability factor.. There is no where on the west coast more desirable to live that is still affordable other than Las Vegas. I am curious to see how the city continues to grow and develop over the next 5 -10 years. so much to look forward to yes but as you mentioned too much growth can be harmful. lets wait and see! thanks for checking out the channel!
@raxjax878727 күн бұрын
@@CB.LasVegas Im no expert, but I can tell you off-rip right now that in the next 5-10 years it will be just as expensive as any major cities in the West Coast, due to a huge influx of migration from California, and new developments, attractions, and entertainment. The west coast in general are not affordable anymore, California, Oregeon, Washington,Nevada, and Arizona are just as bad amongst each other. I have been telling folks for these past few years to get the hell out of west coast and make your money's worth by moving to the south and or other cheaper cost of living states. I know that might not be a cup of tea for everybody but for those that keep whining and complaining of why they cant never afford a home, how about they do something about it (move to a cheaper cost of living state) rather than complaining about it. I myself was a California resident from Los Angeles, and I have relocated to Huntsville, AL. Cost of living and quality of life is better by miles compared to California, I'm currently building a nice home, with a huge potential of appreciation gain due to the huge migrants of people coming here, and development (but not as fast as Vegas) so I pretty much have already set myself a foundation for equity growth. The cost of living in Huntsville is relatively cheap and rent is much cheaper, and the jobs and salary here pays really well; so practically it's a win-win, low cost of living and good salary wages.

Requiring most Bright Line riders to take the Metro from Rancho Cucamonga to their ultimate destination in LA eliminates any time savings taking the train over the I-15, 210, 134, and/or 101 during light traffic. Do the drive when everyone else is sleeping and it should only cost about $75 each way in gas.

@ ……I agree! I NEVER drive near weekends, I’m retired and drive mid-week (ZERO traffic). Plus, I have a 51 mpg Hybrid car and can drive Las Vegas to Calabasas for $25 bucks!!! 👌😎🥂

@ I LOVE the idea of a fast train (that’s reasonably priced), but it needs to get me PAST Ranch Cucamonga!! 🤷🏼♂️😂. And like you agreed, you’ve got to have a car to get around L.A. unless you’re just doing a staycation at a hotel!!

@eddieg6436 I really hope the pricing is right when it is official. And there will be more extensions to LA and the metro link for people with no car

I don’t think Vegas wants to be ca.. that’s the main reason people are leaving Ca to come here… CA is nothing like Las Vegas

train from Victorville is the dumbest thing ever. they've been trying to do this scam for 50 years.
@CB.LasVegas11 күн бұрын
I disagree. this is definitely a new way to travel. It will cut down on traffic on the 15 which is terrible if you have been on it coming out of a holiday weekend. This is the change needed to support commuters as well who still might work in CA but live in NV

Public schools in Nevada rank low nationally however our private and charter schools are top tier. There’s a lot of change in the areas you mentioned is it perfect? No but it’s getting better

@CB.LasVegas i live in LA. It's a total joke here. Try and get anything done with that idiot Newsome in charge. I have never seen your channel before. You are one of the more well-spoken individuals on KZbin. Your content was interesting and presented well.
