I really appreciated your positive energy which was so refreshing after watching many videos of the same topic and pretty much everyone being negative about what its like living in London. For me that means to afford living on that budget the take home should be about £2860. That would be those fixed costs minus the Leisure being maximum 60% of your take home. You should have plenty to enjoy yourself and enough to save and invest.

Thank you very much for this. It was truly insightful. Given that you made the video about a year ago, would you say that your final monthly living expenses of just below £2000 would have notched up? And, generally, how much would you average out the monthly living expenses of a couple (perhaps one similar to you and your husband)?

Hi Sis. I'm planning on moving to London in June/July this year. I'll be using a visitors visa (6months) and staying with family so I was wondering how much would I need to save up to prove I can take care of myself whilst I'm there for those 6 months. ❤️🌺
@NobueKhumalo2 жыл бұрын
Hie, first of all don’t write that you will be there for 6months, otherwise you’ll need over £6000. Write something like 3 weeks and have about £1500 saved. They will still give you a 6months visa and you can stay as long as you want while it’s valid

London is very expensive not just to live but to survive. don't bother coming here unless you can hit the ground running on a salary of £45-55k per annum, don't have a family here unless you have a household income of at least £50k per annum plus £5k per annum, per child, plus adjustment for inflation, so 2 kids is £60,000 per annum

Hi there - sorry I missed your comment. It depends on a lot of factors, your budget being the main one. If you want more affordable places your should move further out e.g. Essex, Surrey, Milton Keynes but the downside is that it will take you over an hour to get to work.
