I have two of them jumpers! They are awesome!! They also charge iPad, phone, etc. I have one that’s the size of a galaxy for 2.5 engines , phones, laptops etc. then upgraded to one that can charge up to a 6.7 liter for only $20 more. Cool setup! The body will fall off before your engine quits. Love Tacoma’s!

I have a friendly suggestion for you given the fact that you have a shell on your truck I would recommend a bed rug for the bed of your pick up they are sold by the max air and again it is called a bed rug and the reason that I am suggesting this is that they are actually insulated and it will help keep you warmer in cold and to help retain heat have a nice day my friend

Re: Privacy and blocking light, I use Reflectix ( mylar bubble-wrap) that I stuck one edge above the windows. Swing them up and hold with velcro on roof to drive, swing down to block light. Also adds a little insulation when windows are cracked for venting. Good point on locking the rear window. So thoae T-handle cam deadbolt automatically lock whe in position, requiring a key from outside but can be opened from inside? I hate the roll-up rear window on my first-gen 4Runner because it's slow and relies on battery. Wanna replace with something similar to the camper shell.

The wife and I are minimalists and hitting the road on reduced retirement in 20019 -----> Vancouver Island and South Ontario for summer. After YEARS of looking I found the Tacoma 2.7 2wd to be fuel efficent and reliable. The cozy T-59 by Tuford fits nice for a king bed mattress and lot's of storage over the cab ....475 pounds dry....MING came up with the same combination months before me.....sigh... www.cheaprvliving.com/uncategorized/incredible-adventure-rig-toyota-tacoma-fiberglass-camper/ I have worked on another idea the ULTRA LITE TELESCOPING cargo 4x4 all aluminum......slides into itself for the road as a box 4x4 inside a box....and 2 feet of tear drop in the ass end....with a slide window for a/c 50000 in hot humid summers at parks in Ontario. REMEMBER this whole unit mates and can become a tiny RV or breaks apart in seconds or leave the telescoping trailer at a campsite. Now I only have 3,500 max payload and pull and the telescope trailer will be 500 pounds with a SOOO 1500 with us and gear on truck and 500 + gear = 400......equals 2,400 / 3500 max. NOW,..... I also study some engineering so I know how to reduce engine friction using Marvel Mystery oil and Militec-1 ask for the formula mix.......It also cleans carbon,sludge,varnish,rust and quiets a motor and I will use the best Amoil in tests....signature and their filter....... my car picked up from 32 mpg to 43.4 mpg at 60 mph. I should see 21 mpg on flat at 60 mph and 34 with just the ruck alone. AND fianal not -----> compost toilet is in the telescoping 4x5 area it and propane tree 20 pound for heat. and T-59 ........I can read in there at night when princess is sleeping on the king in the cozy igloo by Tufport......LOL

nice video thanks for sharing your update. question: what makes your bed drawer slide out well? what kind of plastic material you using? if you mentioned it in video sorry hard of hearing and "CC" usually never picks up the correct word. Thanks again
@RoadieB6 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the question.. that's something I forgot to cover in this video. The material is just a plastic sheet I bought from my local hardware store. It's on a roll and you just cut off however much you need, I'm not sure of the actual name of it or what it's generally used for.. but it helps the pullout drawer slide much easier and protects the truck bed metal.

Hi, pretty cool! Thinking of doing this to my truck but I have questions: When entering, do you have to climb in with the tailgate closed or opened? If opened, how do you then close it when you’re inside? Also, my cap is pretty high so the cap door is very high, so how can you just reach out (which the tailgate closed) to pull the hatch down? Or do you have some sort of pole and hook system to close the hatch? Next is, security. Is there a way to lock yourself in (Or others out?)

@andersolson25406 жыл бұрын
I had a snug top on my ranger, assuming you don't already have carpet on the inside I put sone carpeting (made from recycled plastic bottles) you can buy it by the foot at home depot or lowes its resistant to mold and offered a bit of insulation. I used it to cover the plywood bed platform, and used spray adhesive to attach the remaining carpet to the celling, it worked a treat here in California.

Great set-up. I'm considering something like this, but I would add the addition of a plywood floor board that is exactly the width of the space b/w the cabinet and the bed, that can easily be lifted and set on a lip (on bed and cabinet) to create a "full size" bed. And couldn't you add one of those devices that is wired into your battery cable that prevents the rear batt from draining the front batt? Thanks for sharing. Great informative vid. bookmarked!
