You’re correct. Beaches can be dangerous. While exploring a Pacific coast beach in Mexico, the tide came in so fast that I was nearly trapped on a rock formation blocking my exit. I was literally running for my life to exit and beat the tide.

Nomi, you need to start bringing your walking stick to test the ground and give you leverage. With overgrowth like that, you won’t see a hole or fissure edge, etc.. we don’t want you to take risks. If you have the equipment, use it to keep you safe.

Love the video ❤loved the beach especially! Quick tip along with using a physical marker that someone may move. Take a picture with your cell at the location of where to go to get out. The picture saves your location and you can also edit and write on the pic where you are and what signed to look for, sounds a bit much but was a lifesaver for me on a solo hike! Be safe and keep having fun 😊

Nomi You are one of the most amazing and interesting little sisters anyone could ever hope to have. You laugh, you share, you take your fam on trips and give them excedrian headaches on some of your hikes like the one you just completed and you never criticize. On your last night in Cal, I watched your video while I was outside looking for my cat. By the I found her, you were in another state. I found my baby and then laughed so hard because the two of you never quit giving happiness. When you go on hikes like that take your walking stick, markers, and an old fashion way a compass. Love traveling with you.

Wow……That beautiful “secret beach” you were on, was once nothing but deep waters of that sea you look at ahead…that was once part of the Pacific Ocean. Thousands to possibly even millions of years ago, it was deeper and higher, covered that entire beach you were on. Thousands of feet higher then were you parked . The “skeleton” black rocks you seen on the beach into the waters, to the covered mountains of grass were once under that sea. Just a secret beach with a huge history ❤😊. It’s secret for a reason 😉. I absolutely enjoy your content & journey. Stay favored & blessed ❤!!

Beautiful scenic roads in Oregon and the Secret beach! when the tide comes in it probably covers the caves, therefore I don't think Graffiti would adhere, when I was a young girl, maybe around 10, my sisters and I got stranded in a cave, the high tide was coming in very fast, luckily the cave had different levels and we had climbed up to a higher rock and all we could see is water rising, we didn't know how we were going to make it out! but my dad and other men came in with motor boats and rescue us! just in time before the caves completely filled with the ocean water! We were on holidays, what an adventure! another time we had to climb very quickly to the top of a huge rock filled with barnicles, lifeguards came on boats and rescue us 😅

Did you notice the color of the sand? It turns gray as you go north. If you go up to Long Beach in Washington, you’ll see that the sand is a deep dark grayish brown, even when it’s dry. Not sure why but it’s probably because of early volcanic activity up here. I noticed black flecks in the Long Beach sand - obsidian? Ash? Who knows? But it’s gorgeous in a wild surreal way. You’ll love it.

For outdoorsy types that like to seek out remote areas where you can’t get a phone signal know that the iPhone 14 has a setting/function whereby you can access a satellite in emergency situations. The setting is Emergency SOS. And when on the beach you can check when the tides comes in/out.

Hi Sophie, I am saddened that yor are feeling overwhelmed by life. Please know that God loves you and sees what you are going through. You will win in the end if you dont give up. In our struggles there are always lessons to learn and changes to make. Ask God for guidance and to show you decisions and changes you need to make in yourl life. Gods word says that weeping may last for a night but joy will come in the morning. Girl, just hang in there for the morning. love ya, take care

Suggestion… Look up the types of ticks that are most commonly seen in Oregon and be very careful. One of those is the rocky mountain tick. It’s almost square in shape and has a symbol of sorts on its back, but it carries rocky mountain spotted fever, so please be very very careful when you go outside to hike. God bless!!
