What's interesting about that location is that you're just a hop, skip and a jump from the birthplace of Las Vegas. There's a historical site just blocks from there where the original fort was established by mormon settlers in 1850. Part of that fort is still there and is now a historical site called The Old Mormon Fort. There's a visitor center and all.

Kyle Canyon Campground and Fletcher View Campground are the two places near Mt. Charleston to park RVs. They're 40-45 minutes drive from the Fremont Street Experience, so that works if you're doing daytime gaming and early dinner. If you want the nightlife experience on Fremont Street, it's not so practical.
