Hi! Just wanted to reach out since I know how you feel. I’ve suffered from gastritis on and off for 2 years. I feel so much better today but it took some time to figure things out. Things that have helped me and that I use still are the Lily of the desert stomach formula- I drink this 15 mins before meals and have helped tremendously. Incorporating a pre and probiotic like seed, a digestive enzyme - I use digest gold, and teas like marshmallow root, fennel for bloating and gas, and chamomile has really helped as well. I had a food diary to track the foods that triggered me. Tomatoes are still my cryptonite and me and onions are slowly getting it together. I would recommend staying away from acidic foods for a bit like citrus fruits, coffee, chocolate, tomatoes, etc. for a bit and garlic and onions was the hardest to stay away from since it’s in very tasty food but if you can limit it for a bit and incorporate it back little by little, it may help. Also anti-inflammatory foods like salmon, leafy greens, chia seeds, etc, is great to incorporate and maybe adding fish oil to your supplement list can help as well. Has definitely helped me. Anyways, just know you are not alone and know that another girl from Queens NY has gone through your journey and I’m happy to help in any way possible.

Also forgot to suggest melatonin for acid reflux at night and therapy has definitely help me through my anxiety - I use headway to find my therapist since they accept insurance so the fee is much less. Also breathing through your meals helps produce more digestive enzymes to break down foods.

I had gerd when I was your age. Was a heavy coffee/tea drinker before. Then I stayed away from them for a few years. Now I can enjoy coffee or tea anytime but I do not as often as I used to. You will be healed also. Sending you light and love.

So sorry that you have to go through all these health issues. I kept falling sick (having anxiety attacks, gut and digestion issues and even eye issues) this year and it was no joke. I felt so down and bad, I had no energy to do anything at all. I wish you a speedy recovery, keep fighting on and hanging on!

Oh Lois 😢 I’m so sorry to hear about ur stomach and heartburn Unfortunately for these issues it’s often up to ourselves to go through a process of elimination to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Doctors can’t pinpoint what will immensely help, they can only give u options and u gotta test them out. I know it’s going to be hard but through time you will definitely figure it out! Seeing you figuring out cabbage juice helps is so great and we should celebrate that kind of small win!

I've been having acid reflux and gastritis for years. It got so bad this year, and no medication beside Nexium. What I changed was no coffee, no matcha, (no caffeine), BUT if I really wanted a sip or two, I will drink a SIP or two of my boyfriend's iced oatmilk latte. I CUT OUT PASTRIES like cookies, chocolate, etc SUGAR, and that helped (no acid reflux) literally my acid reflux went from 100% to like 25% now. I will have white bread (but maybe just a slice per day). I can't do celery, tomatoes, orange juice (1. too acidic 2. I found out I am allergic) maybe a blood test would help. I just drink essentia water (pH 9.5, vitasoy less sugar chrysanthemum tea drink, coconut water). I've been drinking bone broth like you and that helped. I don't take any medication since the doctor I see in Chinatown NYC, only said take Nexium when needed. And EAT what YOU/YOUR STOMACH feels confortable with. Please heal as soon as possible. Love youuu!

Hi. I watched this video and could really relate to what you are going through. In 2020 I got really sick with a lot of GI issues. GERD, inflammation, blablabla. Did not get good answers from the multiple doctors I went to. I was pretty much in this place. I read that same book about gastritis, I read horror stories about gastritis on the internet, I tried the same supplements you are taking, etc. I went on an extreme elimination diet and discovered I had a low tolerance for histamines. This is a journey that I am still currently on, but being mindful of high histamine foods has greatly reduced my symptoms. Other things that helped me: cod liver oil (rosita's brand), including organ meats in my diet, and just focusing on a really nutrient dense diet in general. Oh, I also stopped all those other supplements. I only did the cod liver oil, magnesium glycinate, and bee pollen if that counts as a supplement. Anyway, I don't know if you have the same issues as I do but I figured I'd throw this out here just in case. I know how lonely it is to be really sick. ESPECIALLY when "you don't look sick".

Yea stomach problems can really change your life style a lot. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis years ago and had to have over 5 surgeries and long recoveries to finally feel somewhat normal again. I'm surprised your doctor hasn't put you on TPN so you not using your stomach that much and let it relax.

Unsolicited advice: I would strongly recommend doing your own research (like with any illness) because we’re all different (“bio individuality”) and it’s always a plus to know more about your “enemy” so you can fight it; seeing a doctor is good but it’s only one doctor out of millions and you’re the one feeling the symptoms and living with them; what does wonders for one patient might be very bad for you and vice versa; and patience is key, as you’re probably discovering 😘

Be careful of too much cabbage. It can cause thyroid problems like hypothyroidism. There was a big study done after the cabbage soup diet to lose weight was a fad in the 90’s and people developed hypothyroidism. Not trying to be a downer but just to warn you. S

I had similar issue and was drinking purple cabbage juice lol INTENSE. I also had celery juice daily and ended up doing a myriad healing practices before I got better. Some or none maybe valuable to you. So I’ll share and you can weed out the things that don’t resonate or have nothing to do with your situation 🙏🏾 Heavy metal cleanse Parasite cleanse Colonics Liver cleanse Muscle Testing (which really helping me find my real issues and the herbs and supplements I needed and foods my body hated) Acupuncture Reiki Rebounding Cold therapy And a diy protocol via The Medical Medium * I also lost a bunch of weight during this time bc there just wasn’t a lot that my body accepted. My case was even “worse” as I’m vegan so food options were super minimal. Total mind fukk!! THIS TOO SHALL PASS. ❤ Happy healing. Thanks for sharing Xo - JG @she_gathers_wellness
