I am born and raised in Ogden. Just don't get involved with the wrong people. There are tons of homeless. Other than that, Ogden is pretty chill, coming from someone who knows every street there.

I agree. You have to go looking for trouble. I dont feel like we have a huge homeless issue, though. We don't have a huge tent city like SLC or other bigget cities do. Thanks for watching

4br is not a starter home in most US cities. How much for a comparable 2br?
@LivingInNorthernUtah801
@LivingInNorthernUtah801 9 ай бұрын
Its more of the area and price point that is a starter home. Utah doesn't really have a lot of 2 bedroom homes outside of 55 and older communities or Condos. Most of the 2 bedroom houses would be 80 years old. Prices would start around $240,000 for a condo, and $300,000 for a older home.

I loved living in Ogden. I left UT 7 yrs ago. I went back for a visit and they are destroying the old feeling of Ogden, which it is known for. Ugly tall apartments and crowding too many strip malls around.

In your utube are you going to talk about the large crime rate, the growing homelessness, and the ogden city community congress don't hear what the people have to say about the high risk of high rise apartments taking the view from the freeway and the city. Also the museum union station is going to be hidden with apartments and shopping

I was born and raised in ogden, the new generation only cares about going big, they don't care, or want to see the history of our city's, the beauty that ogden did once have. Sense California and other states have started moving inland, the states have become more over crowded, more crime, more homelessness, starving family's, kids that don't have parents that care. Look at the big picture before making your videos to say this is the best place to live. All our farming land is disappearing do to housing development, the mountain side is now full of housing that people can't live in dew to the land slides, of to much activity. Must I go on. Should I start on all the people crying daily on social media about how there neighbor are to loud do to having motorcycle and atvs, or about how the wild animals are in there yard pooping, or how they want the mountain trails but they leave there garbage and build there house on them.

@@jamiewebb902 That is your opinion and simply that. I was born and raised in Ogden as well. I moved away a few times and then came back. I love Ogden and i know a lot of people that love Ogden as well. A lot of the problems that you mentioned are issues in lots of cities. This is data from our opinion, polls that we have taken and from other research that has been done on Ogden in General. You don't have to agree with all the points in our videos. If you hate Ogden so bad, why are you still living here? There is good and bad in every city. The awesome thing about America, is that you get to choose where you live. We choose to live in Ogden and we have also made the choice to share what we like and also dislike about the city and surrounding areas.

I did move out of utah about 13 years ago, the only reason I'm back is dew to my elders that helped build ogden and the local areas around it. Hearing there stories and watching what is happening to our community, is sad. We are loosing all our history to developing, take the union Station for a thought. What is going to happen to half of the artifacts in that building if they build condos and shopping malls around it. 🤔 think about that... what will happen to the building it's self if 1,000 of people are walking in and out daily, not caring that it is a historic place. What will happen to the women of pioneers museum 🤔 if people can't even get to it, or the over crowded amount of people walking, hanging, or damaging the building, what about the art house, one of the oldest homes in ogden. What about the businesses the have been in the 25th street area for over 50 years, that have had to get extra security and bars on the windows so people can't break in, 🤔 or the businesses that have already been vandalized and broken into 5 times in a 6 month period. Are you just going to tell all them people to move out, pack up and go somewhere else. If they don't like it.

Maybe you should've fact checked. The mountains may... and that's may... get that much snow but on the rare years we get allot of snow ogden itself get around 60 inches.
@LivingInNorthernUtah801
@LivingInNorthernUtah801 Жыл бұрын
Hey Mark, thanks for watching and being so awesome. You may want to do some research yourself before making snarky comments. When we were talking about the 450 ft snow, we were referencing thr mountains as we were talking about ski resorts. Ogden doesn't rarely get 64 feet in the Valley. That's the "average". According to visitogden.com "In town, the annual snowfall measures 65.3 inches, while the surrounding ski resorts boast a whopping 450 inches annually. According to historical weather data collected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in recent years, Ogden receives an average of 64.7 inches of snow each year. This makes it one of the snowiest cities in all of America Take care

@LivingInNorthernUtah801 all I was saying is that the video made it sound like Ogden itself gets that much snow. I'm sorry if I came across as 'snarky'.

No one is buying anymore. How about you do justice and make a video about rentals because this information is useless!
@LivingInNorthernUtah801
@LivingInNorthernUtah801 4 ай бұрын
Ummm... I'm not sure where you are getting that information from. Utah has had just under 36,000 home sales in the past year. 3,263 sales in the last 30 days. Ogden has had 127 sales in the last 30 days. If this information is useless for you, feel free to move on. Your perception may be YOUR reality, but it's not accurate.
