Visited Buffalo NY for first time in my life this past weekend for Opening day Bills game. Brother, let me tell you, I stayed in East Aurora and Hamburg at friends family house. I absolutely loved how beautiful it is. So green! The people are friendly. The breweries are amazing! The food is amazing. It felt small town and I loved that feel. You can walk to bills games from certain houses. You can Wallo with a beer in your hand to Bills games. I’m From AZ and I’m Latino. I felt welcomed in Buffalo. The only con about the place was the crazy snow in the winters. But I would Love to own a property there and maybe enjoy my retirement there half the year. The taxes I also hear are crazy.

My family moved to OP in 1951, family left in 1967 for new job. But let’s recall that suburban housing prices everywhere have skyrocketed. The home I purchased where I now live in the Southern states was purchased for $330k in 2016…& recently showed up on Trulia as being valued at over $650k…so there’s nothing special about high valuations in good old OP. Want to live in a nice house someplace cheap…move to Minot, North Dakota and get a mansion for $200k. Or a nice smaller 2 bedroom, 2 bath home in Chadron, Nebraska for just $99,000. All depends on where you want to live dudes!

Yo, I LOVE your channel!! My husband and I are looking to GTFOF OP!! (eventually out of NY all together- but we want out of OP to start…)… mostly because we are currently renting from my parents. They inherited the house my mom’s parents built in the 50’s, I moved in in 2009 to help care for Nana (who passed in 2012), now we are paying them rent (they still live in my childhood home on Jewett Holmwood). The kicker is… they show up unannounced whenever they want, very often. I straight up told them a while ago… we are your tenants (also with no official contract), and we are married now… whatever you walk in on, that’s on you.😆😂🤣🤣🤣

Solid, honest review of my hometown. (This year, I think Buffalo actually got more snow than we did!)

We live in Orchard Park and like it. Unfortunately living in New York State continues to get more and more difficult to live in. We won’t be selling our duplexes/home, but will be moving out of New York State.

@@atrankwas it just increasing rent prices and taxes that made you want to leave or?

@@antiwesternvalues several factors. We were born and raised here, but look at the stats. New York has the highest taxes, is not business friendly, has the lowest personal freedoms, and is losing the most residents for any state. A total failure.
