The Shaka is good with you Nastaran. Most people don’t know including many native Hawaiians that Kohala is not a mountain but the first major Volcano that started the Big Island. It has been extinct for over 1 Million years. The Kohala Mountain Road is perhaps the most Underrated Roads in all of Hawaii especially on a sunny day on the west side. Ethereal as if it should be on another planet or dimension. I often dream of flying along the road in awe of the creation of this majestic and verdant plunge to the coast and ocean. Yet - I digress and say thank you and Michael for sharing so much with all. It is rare for kindness and peace without a pitch to still be found. Please keep sharing and I for one will look forward to it every week just to soothe my soul. As you say, XxOo

See, you blew me away again with your tango with such beautiful words of yours. Have you ever thought about writing a book because you could easily do that. It’s in your DNA. I had to look up “Ethereal” and love that word now. I totally agree with you about the Kohala mountain road being so underrated. There is something so magical about it. On that day we couldn’t really see all the way to the ocean but it must be a sight to see. Sending love and gratitude to you Robert for your continued support and watching.

Thank you for the video Nastaran. First of all the soundtracks you choose for the video were awesome and really worked with the different segments you highlighted! I have to say the Rooster in the beginning was so magnificent. I always enjoy seeing the chickens 🐓 in Hawaii in their natural environment, they are truly beautiful. You are lucky you can walk to see such spiritual parts of the coastline from your home. I love the big island, so much of it is undeveloped and will hopefully stay that way. Good luck with your flooring project, it’s a lot of work. You’re husband is a great guy 😊
@Nastaran.Battles5 ай бұрын
Aloha my friend and thank you so much for another beautiful comment. Your encouraging words mean so much to me. That rooster is so handsome and I watched him grow from a tiny chic to this handsome stage of his life. When he was younger he sounded so funny but he has it down and sings so beautifully now. I love the fact that so much of the island is undeveloped as well. It’s what makes this island so special and different from other islands. The raw jungle gives so much life and energy to the jungle creatures as well as people. Floors are done and I’ll have a reveal segment in this upcoming video. Hope you like it as well. Mahalo again for your continued support and watching.

Another wonderful video of life on the Big Island - thank you so much for sharing! Boy that ride up to the north side was beautiful! I'm wondering if that would be something you'd be comfortable doing alone! I see that you go out and explore on your own quite a bit - so I'm taking it that you feel quite safe in doing so?! I'm asking as a single senior woman thinking about buying over there - I'm wondering if I'll feel safe alone! I have my sons here, but over there I'd be alone! I do love exploring and taking long rides on my own though, and boy does that look like the perfect place to do that! lol Thanks again. Aloha! 🌺Oh and I love that handsome rooster as well. Good looking gent! lol 🐓🌺

Aloha to you. I would have felt totally safe driving on any roads here as a woman driving alone. There are certain neighborhoods I imagine anywhere that is unsafe, and big island has its own places. I’ve been told not to go to remote areas in the jungle by myself as it gives an opportunity to certain criminals to take advantage of it, and I understand of course. We have a 74 year old lady who recently moved to our neighborhood by herself, and she is very pleased so far. That rooster is certainly handsome, and I watched him grow from a newborn chic. He turn in to a cutie. Thank you for watching my dear

As a Hawaiian, may I suggest you buy native Hawaiian seeds for your bird feeder. Just look up Hawaii Garden Shaker Can or something equivalent. One of the biggest issues out here is the spread of invasive plant species. The birds are one of the biggest spreaders. Mahalo for another great video!

Any benefits of H-shores over H- beaches in your opinion? or is it the same pretty much?
@Nastaran.Battles5 ай бұрын
Aloha to you. I personally like Hawaiian shores better. In the beginning when I purchased my place, I had no idea what Hawaiian shores existed, but the more I learned the more I liked it. They’re basically same area but separated by the kahakai road. The HS has an association, whereas the HB does not. Fee is $400 a year, which is not bad at all, but it does provide monitoring the neighborhood so people keep their yards clean, and keep the neighborhood much better looking, as well as providing a pool, community center, activities such as yoga, bingo, karaoke and other social gathering. They both have city water, mail delivery, and are both zone too. Hope that answers your question
