That's the American "help" to the Philippines... to remain stuck in poverty for most. No doubt , many Filipinos are very nice peoples. My last visit was 2018. I saw many poverty around the city...and that really really breaks my.heart yet they looks happier than me. I really hope the government could help their own people to get out from this .

The crooked president appointed all of his family members and relatives to run different government agencies and put them in charge of different provinces in the Philippines! Is it a wonder why the country is being run to the ground and the country is dirt poor? The setting is a midsized city not far from the visited Tacloban City in Central Philippines..Suggest visit not only the poor areas,bars, malls,hotels where you only meet jobless people,housewives & family members of middle income earners,off-school students,bar & hospitality girls,sales agents, business owners & some well- offs..but roam also in so many subdivision homes of middle income earners there,buildings where professional private & govt employees are in you may interact, & meet professionals in Colleges/ Universities there...There are 4 million homeless or 3% of the 115 million Phil population living mostly in slums in outskirts of Metro Manila Cities...The Phils ranks 73 out of 125 world countries in poverty w no. 1 as poorest; categorized as a middle income country.

some of the areas in Philippines are Extreme poverty like BGC, SM Moa, Makati,SM Megamall,Green hills , other areas in Philippines I've witnessed them during 1980's,1990's. Don't worry some of those land will be purchased by private company and develop later like BGC, SM Moa reclamation, other projects

Most of my fiancé's family have a strong Hispanic look about them. You'll find also that a lot of Filipinas laugh and hold their hand to the front of their faces. You'll be recognised as a foreigner in Calbayog, because you're the one walking 😂 my Mrs couldn't believe that a man of my "hefty" proportions liked to walk so much I'm about 108kg, she on the othethand is about 43kg and likes to jump in a trike, maybe I'm missing a trick? 😂
