I would say that you are doing a fair and thorough analysis of the Oltenian style of living 😀. The Vocative finishing in "e" is coming straightforward from Latin ("cognate", "lupe") and indeed is a sign of affection, of showing how close you are to that person. The pharmacies are somehow regulated by law but still too many, it seems to be an easy business unfortunately. Weddings ... well it is a rather modern tradition, has 50 years, in the '70 you had the option to have a wedding with gifts ("cu dar") or without gifts ("fara dar"). Now days is a form of mutual financing. "Nas" or Godfather exists also in the tradition of our cousins, the Italians, is called "testimone". Keep posting!

Multumesc domnule. Thank you sir. You are very pleasant and I like the topics you cover, which I find very interesting. I should also have known from the correctness and lack of foreign accent with which you speak Romanian that you are from the UK, but not English!

Thank you for your kind comments and for watching. I now feel Welsh and Oltenian! The national vegetable for both is the leek!

@@livinginromania The leek? I didn't know that. 😄

Buna. Multumesc pt video .

I loke this kind if videos, cultural differences. I understand you lived for a while in France. Can you do a video with differences from Romania am France, or what romanians have in common with France and both difrent from UK?
@livinginromaniaАй бұрын
I could do. I think Romania has more in common with France than with UK, but it's a great idea and I will follow this up. I lived in Paris for 3 years and had a house in Normandy for 10, so there is plenty to say.
