@B. Greene I am so sorry you are having to lock down again. And the unemployment situation is very unfortunate. I see your frustration. Illinois numbers are coming down but I live in Chicago where there is a high density of cases and I feel fearful when I go to get groceries--twice now since our March lockdown. I have greatly enjoyed the daily pep talks (rah, rah, rah) by New York Gov. Cuomo. He has taken his state from the worst numbers to the best numbers in the country. He makes me feel like saving lives is possible and he gives me the encouragement I need to keep wearing my face coverings, stay home and stay optimistic. Cuomo is my COVID19 cheerleader like Diane is my Flylady cheerleader. And there is the silver lining to get things done like the projects you mentioned. So here's a RAH, RAH RAH just for you. We can all get through this together. ❤😊👍

Good morning from Cleveland Ohio 🌞. I just love your videos and am so glad to have found them. I am overcoming a disability and just love the idea of simple routines which have kind of organically happened as I recovered. Making the bed, taking care of myself by washing face, brushing my teeth, combing hair, making the bed. All things that needed to be done almost as physical therapy 😉. Hello Diane, a pom poms up to you!!🤩, I need to go to bed earlier during the week!! even though I'm still Furloughed....you feel so much better in the mornings when you do this....on Wednesday I finally finished sorting all my old paperwork, it felt great I was felt relieved!! Thecpast 5 years I had let everything slide with paperwork, laptop files/photos now it's all sorted and I've backed every thing up.. I learned a lot of new things doing this too. Now I feel so free to get on with other projects and things I enjoy. I hope your next few weeks go well for you also xxx😻

Morning Diane...this popped up just as I finished watching Day 5 of the Virtual Retreat which I've been doing this week. My friend has loved it and in a few days got the power of....(drum roll...) THE TIMER! Yay! I think I might do the 31 babysteps just to see if I can get her into a routine, she seems to need it and has done fantastic things this week, with pampers and revelations that things never take as long as you think....JUST DO IT! And I need a re-visit! If I'm honest, I'm glad this week is over. I've felt homesick for Horsholm, wanted to see my sister and visit Dad's grave, but obviously not possible at the moment. All been a bit emotional with things here and this week is the first week I've noticed my sweet and kind DD11 is showing those dreaded signs of hormone brain!! (Foghorn alert...teenage brain approaching!) But I'm going to enjoy the weekend and look forward to next week, I shall be thinking of you! Happy Graduation, Happy Birthday, Happy Midsummer!!! ENJOY! Great video, you have such a lovely way of explaining things which make so much sense to my scatterbrain....you seem so logical and sussed out that we all want a piece of you! It all sounds exciting! I'm sure it will feel "odd" distancing for all your family celebrations. Enjoy every moment of your son's graduation, backyard parties and your birthday, too. Lately I have been trying self-preservation and got a new basket to hold my journal, Bible, books, etc. Love it! And yesterday as I weeded the flowerbeds and did yard work, I stopped and asked myself: 'Wait, who am I doing this for?' since no one comes over. Later I walked past a mirror and looking directly at myself and answered: 'You, you do it for you! 'I felt so good at that moment and give you credit for helping me see I'm worth it.

Thank you Diane. Enjoy all the celebrations. I think one of the main benefits of the Flylady system is that it allows us to ease off from time to time and "just" keep things going with morning/evening routines. I did not feel like morning routine today but I knew things would be much worse later if I didn't do it. Listening to your motivational talks today helped me get through tidying kitchen and folding laundry today 😃

Many milestones for you! The health situation is not looking good here in the U.S., looks like a resurgence and retightening down in some areas. The garden continues. Alan had his book published. Also, Happy Birthday to you! 🎉🎂🍾 I've been pampering myself by redecorating my living room and bedroom. I just got new area rugs for living room and am having fun picking out accent pieces, sofa pillows, candles, etc. I love home decorating and like to change things up every few years to keep it fresh. It's 6:07 AM here and about to make coffee and get my MR started, then gas up car and a quick stop at grocery store (masked). I drove minivans from 1986 until 2018 or so. I agree with you, though I think we didn’t have quite the wonderful storage in those days. Now I have a little sedan as it suits me better as a senior citizen , but I still think minivans are the best!

Congrats to your son...such an exciting time in his life! I like your tradition of driving to each graduate’s home for mini-celebrations. My DS18 virtually graduated last Saturday as in person ceremonies have been cancelled in my state. I am busy planning a graduation party for early July as we should enter phase 4 next week where I live and will be allowed to have a gathering of up to 50. Woohoo! You sure are busy. No graduation parties happening here this year. We are just opening churches and salons and shops today!! Slow and steady. We can widen our bubbles to 10 people now. We can gather in groups up to 10 people but must social distance 2 metres. So life is still slow and relaxed here. I've only been grocery shopping 3 times since beginning of a March. Happy graduation celebrations, AND Happy birthday to You as well!!! I am thinking that HS graduation in Denmark is (2) years later than in the US since the kids are 20 rather than 18. It is like they already have 2 years of college/university study finished maybe? (University is super expensive here so not all students choose it.) Either way, it all sounds nice! I love the new, wee, white vase behind you with the purple and pink flowers in it! I get up generally at 5 am, sometimes earlier even, but go to sleep at night around 9 pm, sometimes earlier. And lastly, for today's Saturday hygge, I went to the library and checked out 2 books. I spied the Elly Griffith's books.... and almost got one but was afraid they might be too gory for me and not cozy-crime enough. Also, bought some T1 pink nail color bc I am totally out of ALL nail varnish. In other news... we bought a loaf of rye bread with seeds and I tried rye bread for the first time ever! With butter and chocolate....it was SO good. the Danes sure know good combinations :D :D HAPPY SATURDAY!

Hi Diane. I’ve been watching you for years and your videos have always given me a lot of inspiration and help. Today I have a tough question. My dad passed away yesterday after a long hard battle with cancer. We lived together so I’m especially sad. It’s hard to think about returning to my cleaning and organizing routines when nothing else seems to matter right now. Do you have any advice on keeping up routines while grieving? Thank you.

I'm so sorry for your loss - know that I'm thinking of you! 💖 I discovered that working through my daily Routines during tough periods in my life (serious family illness, the death of my father, life changes) was actually a great support, and very soothing. I could take things at my own pace/have room to think, while still moving forward and feeling some control of the situation. (I talk about it in my Flylady Refresher Course videos). Hugs to you!
