Man, I never want any problems to happen on anybody's trip, but seeing how you overcome all the different problems has been a treat to see. So many videos of the "glory" of van-life and so few of what really happens a lot, so thanks for sharing your challenges. I am always excited for the next video! Those drone shots you got in the desert too were amazing. Jealous of your travels man! Stay safe out there

Loved the Taos T-shirt! I can imagine the desolation of the desert gets old, but it looks like you folks hit some of deluge of rain in California, so that must have been quite a change. Hope you are both continuing to enjoy the adventure! 😊

Sometimes libraries have fast internet, for downloads at least. The 167 Mbs you finally found is crazy fast, maybe that caught you up for the previous 5 hours. :)

It was soo fast. Of course the upload speed is always slower, but it still took less than 30 minutes to upload about 5GB. Never would have expected that at a laundromat. I'll have to try going to a library, that works better too because then I don't have to buy overpriced coffee.

Would an unlimited data plan not be enough for video upload? Move the video to your phone, and upload whenever you drive through a city where you can get 5G.

I tried that once and the youtube app automatically made the video public with no title or description. After that I was too afraid to try it on the phone again. I do have hotspot data, but sometimes it is incredibly slow even with full bars

@@dustyodyssey Yikes! Yeah hotspot data is way too throttled. A dedicated hotspot device might get better priority but at that point you might as well go for a cellular router. No cheap solution there. My buddy does video calls for work at libraries, since their networks tend to be better managed.
