From what I've learnt while living in VN for some time now. VN passport does not guarantee legal rights as a normal citizen. You will need to apply for a residency/citizen card along with a family book, which is now 1 card. VN passport only allow you to enter the country and stay as long as you want. Don't bother buying houses in VN unless you plan to stay in VN for a long time (like 3+ years). You can open a banking account locally if your visa stay is at least 6 months (this is not for all local banks, some require residential card or your temp residential card).

A 4 bedroom villa/mason in DaNang would cost at least $3.000/month to rent, while a habitable 2 bedroom apartment in LA would cost at least $4.000/month.

the only criticism is the treatment of overseas mixed vietnamese, Or foreign born in other countries. They should be able to attain their VN PP and Dual citizenship as well as other treaty recognitions and memorendums
