Living Off The Grid in the Desert for a Day in My Car (Vanlife)

My name is Arslan and I’ve been living in vehicles for the past few years. My journey of alternative living began after I was fed up with the high cost of rent in the United States. I fell in love with the idea of living on the road, so over the years, I converted a sprinter van, a Camaro and most recently been living in my 2014 chevy suburban camper car. I enjoy making KZbin videos and recording my different experiences to share with you guys. I’m also a nurse half days of the week because I have a significant passion for helping people.

@@solarcampercar maybe a down payment on a house a mortgage with the banks help maybe buy foreclosed on zillow for cash or on there for the right deal as you would then be some what bound to your location as the house is stuck there, if not u have this all down to a science maybe a vehicle u can stand up in a house or land to develop in nature tho as a home base eventually i was saying tho however your on the road seeing the place and traveling so party on

Yes indeed there are good people. During the winter I carry 20 lbs of kitty litter over each backbtire and a small shovel or scoop. The gritty kitty litter not the absorbent one. If I get stuck in snow I can throw some of the litter under the tires so they have something to grip. In tge spring, I give thevreams8n8ng litter to a a friend with cats or to the animal shelter. Watching the end of the video makes me realize how much I appreciated my four-wheel-drive suburban. But they take more gas because there’s more weight. I would highly recommend to stay away from snow with rear Wheel Drive. Thanks for another great video!

I cook for myself too. I take the Pasta and break it into three even 3" inch to 4"inch pieces. It fits better in a saucepan and cooks even together. Your recipe looks delicious. 😋 Walmart Website does have a number of portable stovetop double burner camp stoves. The electric are cheaper than the propane or butane type. But there is one by Abba Appliances for $42.00, and Electric for about $25.00.

Colorado is definitely the pothole capital of the world, it's been known to swallow up small cars.😅😉 Looks like you hit it right when the snow storm hit, I think where you're at almost had 3-4 feet. We enjoy watching you, best of luck on your travels! PS, that little river you're by, that's not the Colorado. If we knew where you were exactly we'd be able to tell you what river that is. Where you got stuck, you're over 10,000 ft, did the elevation bother you? Keep some cat litter in your truck, that'll help if you get stuck, you put it under your tires.

I am from Colorado Springs, I am surprised how fast some of the potholes were being fixed but still some roads looks like an asteroid hit it. Not to be a dick, but he did say he was staying by Grand Junction, so either it was the Colorado River or the Gunnison River, most likely the Colorado.

Sounds like Pittsburgh PA- all 4 seasons in 1 day!!!! We had 62 and Sun, some snow and now it is raining!!! I’d love to see Colorado some day. Definitely a dream but pursuing becoming a single mom by choice first bc my fertility is running to an end early at 37 😞Maybe me and my boys one day- my dog who just turned 2 and keeps me alive, and my 1 single embryo I got from one $22k round of IVF I’ll never be able to pay back- if it works- I feel ok saying here that my one embryo is a boy 💙🌈🎉after 2 natural pregnancy miscarriages in years prior. Maybe we will all visit that amazing place one day!!!!

Hi I have a question. How do you keep grease from settling all over everything in there ? As you know grease floats in the air and we'll settle on cabinets and countertops in a regular kitchen

Hi! I do my best to avoid that by covering my skillet with a glass cover, and wiping surfaces after cooking! the headliner have caught grease and theres nothing i can do about it except maybe install an overhead metal plate, but that means piercing holes into the headliner for the installation, worth it? not sure

I work in a well known Italian restaurant our fettuccine Alfredo is 22 dollars and to add shrimp would cost another 10, plus 1.50 to add mushrooms so 33.50!

Your sink is fine you need to raise your pump slip a hose on the tip. Boom you have a flexible dispensary for water. You're welcome 🤗. Remember a strong bag right size can turn a wheelbarrow into a grand sink.

I think one of the reasons so many subscribers relate with you is because many of us have SUVs and can picture ourselves living your adventures vicariously through your eyes. A regular van lifer channel would be far less interesting. Keep keeping it real and unique! Your suburban is like a Swiss Army knife. It can do a little bit of everything! Be careful on those dirt roads, they are all clay. You found out how easy it is to get stuck. Keep some plywood boards in your trunk to put under you tires, and rock your car onto them.

I make this a lot, fresh or using jarred sauce. Hint: save some pasta water if the Alfredo sauce gets to tight or dry, to add.

Put the sauce pan on top of your pasta pan whilst cooking, see if the residual heat will cook the shrimp.
