I fitted mine a couple of years ago and its been great. I did the same research as you did you can make it a bit quieter by fitting rubber mounts between the fittings for the pumped the unit to the Bulkhead/board, worked for mine. Happy heating. Hi Shell Chris ,you pick a good heart system there I had one on my tugboat bigger of course it was hot water and hot Air we needed hot air to defrost the windows early hours when it ice and frost on the windows it was very good no time to wait when you are working tired take care both of you till next time keep safe ,John 💜💜🥂🥂🌹💐✅🌈👩‍🔧♥️😅😅

Would definitely have considered a drip feed system such as reflex. No noise no power required. Hope you stay warm.

@@ChrisandShell You will need a pump to circulate the hot water just as the Webasto has one built in, you run that water through the radiators and/or the calorifier. You also should consider if you should go with a stainless coil since the copper one can't be run dry for extended periods and can't be used in systems which contain aluminium, but that last is the same as for the calorifier. refleks-olieovne.dk/en/

Hi Chris and Shell. I also have a Mikuni MX40 on my boat and did find out they had stopped supporting them. It’s still working 90% of the time and I also did the same research on replacing the unit. I had also settled on the Webby EVO 5 unit with a narrowboat fitting kit. I was wondering did you have to change/modify the exhaust skin fitting to accept the larger exhaust for the Webby? The Mikuni ones are smaller. Great vlog and massive thanks. 😀

Nice vblog. I bought a smaller, older, version of the Webasto water heater just before they brought yours out. I found Webasto so useless (and frankly plain wrong in places) that I never installed the heater.

I have a mikumi mx40 and can't see the air intake on it, thinkin gof getting one of these, does the air intake need to be fastened through a hole in the hull like the exhaust or does it just sit there with the air fileter on it out of the way ? cheers

What was the purchase cost ..and the install cost.What will the expected running cost be per day .

Our costs were £1800, Gary. But all our pipe work was in place already, obviously if you haven’t got any of that it will bump up the price, if you have to fit your radiators etc. 👍👌
